I'm back!!! (off-topic)

Well I'm back in one piece and lived to ride again, LOL!!!

I didn't miss the business, missed the Gardenweb pool/spa forum a little, and really missed my family. Especially my son. I'd of loved for him to attend and ride but someone had to stay here and make sure the show would go on. I took my best friend, he ended up with a Jap V-twin that looks like a Harley but isn't. We had the time of our lives riding in Monaco, France, and Italy. I'm trying to sort out all the pic's of our daily rides. Here's a few pic's of my favorite ride of the trip. We went to the French Alps the day before and although it was a wonderful ride there wasn't any snow at the base of the ski resort we went to so the next day we rode into the Italian Alps further inland and at a higher altitude.

Further inland, higher up plus much colder, and the entrance to a very long tunnel which will place us up in the ski country and the thin winter air.

Pic's of the snow country and the bar were we enjoyed a celebration beer and a couple of cups of coffee before our long bike ride back to the resort in Monte Carlo.

It was a very long ride with not much time to enjoy ourselves up there but worth the price of the weekly rental just for that one particular days ride.

Very nice Kelly welcome back. You didn't miss much.
It looks as if the trip went well for you. I turned all my points in this year for product in the store. Maybe next year I will attend. Any idea where they are going next year?

Apparently, the mineral oil used with R12 doesn't mix with R134a and additionally provides a sealing effect on non-barrier type hoses so that the R134a doesn't leak through them. On some cars the clutch cycling pressure switch may need to be adjusted for R134a. I had my 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 converted to R134a. Besides changing the fittings and installing a Smart VOV (which was my idea, my mechanic had never used them before), everything else is all original. The Smart VOV is a replacement orifice tube that self-adjusts for operating pressures and provides performance similar to a TXV system. It's supposed to provide colder air at idle with and reduce the load on the compressor. It was $20 at NAPA so it wasn't a big expense. I have no idea how much it helped compared to a standard orifice, but my mechanic was impressed. Anyway, all of that was about 4 years ago and the AC still works fine.

Caroline, Where in the Dakotas are you. I am in southern South Dakota and I know the western part of south Dakota got up to a foot of snow. My youngest daughter will be in the western part from May 17-July 20 and I told her to keep her shovel in the car as well as a winter coat of some sort. Last year on the first weekend in May they received a lot of snow and many parents were unable to make it to graduation. Hope you are not affected by the flooding at all. Deanna

Boys are doin like you said Stacy. Wearing me out!! I must be doing something to them too, Drew fell asleep on the supper table! Hunter caught a few winks mid afternoon til his brother just couldn't stand it any longer and jumped on the bed to wake him up! Course I am sure it has nothing to do with both being up before 7 am! They are EARLY birds.

Last treatment is something to celebrate and if Dark Chocolate Amaretto cupcakes won't keep the good luck flowing nothing will! Last year the HG had to go for 2 hours daily for six weeks. The staff treated him so kindly so I in turn provided them with goodies. They were very appreciative to the point where it seemed like that didn't happen often.

Next year is back to the Grand Floridian at Disney World.
It's an awesome resort, Club P had us there back in 2000 and 2005. It was fantastic experience for me and my family.

I hope that the Club P Disney World 2010 event will draw some other pool builders from the forum. I'd love to meet some of you guys and girls, in person, in an element where you can just take your shoes off and enjoy each others company.

Note to all builders,
If you utilize the Polaris/Jandy product and save the points you'll never regret a Club P affair. I've been to a ton of them and have always had a fantastic time. No matter where we go we're in a great resort and treated like royalty. They spare no expense on the trip for their dealers. What I love is the fact that I get to ride locations I'd of never ridden in my life if I was footing the bill.
