My OLD pool shoes-- Let's share!

They have been on numerous cruises, trips to the pool and my favorites. I have done everything and can't get them clean. At least 7 years old.

Now embarrassed to wear them.

Can't think of any old shoes of which to share photos... Just wanted to suggest that you take these to a shoe repair place. I'd bet they could clean them up to look good as new. They're very cute! I like your new pool shoes very much, too.

Thanks, y'all. I just wish they lived here, and not 8 hours away. I, too, like the name. I have to admit I was hoping for a girl. That is because I had 3 boys. I have 2 GDDs and 3 GSs. So plenty more chances for a girl. Last night I told #2 GS and his GF that I did not want another one any time soon. Thinman, I was a child bride. LOL! I was 42 when my granddaughter was born. My son and DIL married his 2nd year of college. He graduated, but it took her over 20 years to graduate. The U.S. Air Force did not care that she was trying to get her degree. k

Cute, Glenda! They remind me of my thongs I found in a dollar/close out bin at Penneys years back. Mine are black with a red flower..I'm wearing them right now..and still get compliments on them. Heck of a deal, huh? :)

Stop the press! Store #57, I found shoes. This may be of interest to narrow-er foot people. As mentioned above I needed a shoe to wear with skinny-ish ankle pants and shorts that I could also use for minor terrain in Scotland. So, I needed some tread. I had a heck of a time as most shoes had big ugly bulbous toe beds. For A brief time I looked at slip-ons but decided against that because when I got the length that fit they where too wide and slippy and I could see some blisters in my future. I mostly ruled out tennis or workout shoes because I’m just not the sort to wear them around town, plus they clashed with my outfits as most were so colorful. So, I bought these Coach Moonlight sneaker shoes in a nice cream color called /chaulk with that little bit of somthin somthin on the back. Not quite a workout shoe and a bit more fashionable. The toes are just right (not too pointy or too round) and have a little more of a feminine look. Comfort wise on a scale from one to five they are a four. They are a four for now until I break in the leather. Not that the leather is stiff, its not, it's a nice Napa leather. Glad the shoe thing is OVER for me! EDITED to add: I forgot to mention that I tried on a few Coach shoes and they all seemed to run a tic narrow. Not very narrow but a nice fit if you have a slim to norm foot.

These porches are so beautiful. But how do you keep them so nice and clean? It seems like I get mine cleaned off and two or so hours later copious amounts of something else appears. The wind just seems to bring every leaf, bit of dog fur, bird feathers, nesting material, dead flowers (which seem to attract spiders) and dust my direction. If I were to screen the porch that would reduce it to just the dust-I hope. Do you (or your maid) sweep and mop these areas every day?

They are so cute!! I'd wear them till they fell apart. I was going to suggest a magic eraser too. Maybe bleach mixed with water-spray on (avoid the flowers) and sit in the sun.

You can't even see the yellow flower in the middle cause of the CLEAN yellow on the foot piece :o)

I used Dollar Tree's Clean with Bleach spray and scrubbed it with an old rubber dish scrubber.

I done good!

They look amazing! I'd be stocking up on that cleaning product -
Incidentally, I was reading a blurb the other day on Dollar Store products and what's good and what's bad -
one thing the critics said was very good was cleaning products, apparently they are name brand products with a dollar store label.
Toothpaste and vitamins are things to avoid at a dollar store.
