I'm at my wits end!
Comments (17)Chelsea and I stayed up all night. I put a pillow on the floor beside her bed at 5 am and lay down. She finally went to sleep. It took me an hour to get up. Old women have no business lying on the floor. She got me up at 8, so we'll see how the day goes. Poor little baby, being put to sleep and having surgery twice in 2 weeks is enough to put a human down, one can only imagine what it would do to a little elderly dog....See MoreWhat do I do? Comments (6)katybug, you mentioned you don't want it to look bad, so from reading what you are saying, I would much rather take the time and do it right than have to look at a room or wall all the time and never be satisfied because I was in a hurry . If you have knicks, gouges, scrapes, etc. the best thing to do of course is to mud it out; or even if you are going to do a finish with joint compound you are still doing work (unless you want a textured finish). So either way, there is going to need to be work from either way you choose. Just throwing out some of the possibles. Just doing a decorative finish over your wall imperfections with paint is not going to take care of the walls condition, unless you take some other kind of steps to correct what you have mentioned above. One thing for sure after I removed all that paper, I surely wouldn't put anymore up. :)...See MoreKitchen countertop? Can't decide what to do, I am at my wit's end!
Comments (116)I love the slabs you are looking at. Beth is great at this and has very good taste and knows her color schemes! I too like the tempest with the stone and cabinet choice but it has what you like best. Just because we all think it looks great does not mean you love it. Maybe you do need to look at more. Look at all of Beth's beautiful pictures. You want to be sure and you should LOVE your choice. I just went through this myself and this house we are building will most likely be my last (scary thought) so I understand where you are coming from. Get the stone that you jump at immediately and love. Maybe Beth and AJCN can fly out and come with you :)...See MoreAM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HATES GRANITE?
Comments (55)What I am seeing from @colorblind1961 is zero ownership of her behavior, but instead is talking about "a wakeup call" for people on this forum. No wake up call for @colorblind1961? She has not acknowledged that she escalated the tone of this thread to become what it has. This is why I called her a troll earlier. Trolls cause escalation of anger in a thread, which they enjoy. Then they absolve themselves of everything, and blame everyone else. Textbook. Most of the people who have replied on this thread are extremely helpful to others posting questions on this forum. They will spend huge amounts of time helping people with their kitchens. @colorblind1961, you started by yelling in all caps, using the word "hate" a number of times, being non-nonsensically contradictory (you hate granite, you love granite), claiming in all caps that you are NOT inconsiderate, not answering any questions, claiming to be a longtime Gardenweb person yet not seeming to know anything about Gardenweb, and that your only goal is to hear from people who hate their granite countertops....See Moreforestwench
