Quilting cartoon

The guild I belonged to up in Michigan used to earn money by laying in (basting) quilts for people. We set up the frames on four chairs and pinned the backing, batt and tops to the frames. We had two short members do the underneath work--I was one of those-- pushing the needles back up and everybody else share doing the top. The tallest gals, because they had the longest arms, set the beginning needles in the center of the quilt. We used to make jokes about what would happen to them after years of basting.

Here is a cartoon about that. It's more of a giggle than a LOL.
