Wow, you have two Landseers, how cool! We definitely don't see those down here very often (the only time we see a Newfie is when our friends visit us from Colorado).

We have a couple of sketches of two of our old Goldens in our office and a "Retrievers Rock" tall metal garden sign (shaped like a dog house)pitched into one of our planters on the front stoop, but that's about all right now. Most of our Christmas decor (throw pillows and such) have retrivers on them, though.

Wow Franny - I am in absolute LOVE with your Newfies! Some people wish for a dream home, I wish for a "Dream Dog"...and that would be a Landseer...one day maybe. As for doggie decor, the only Berner stuff I have around is two tiny figurines of a mama Berner and her pup. My BMD IS my decor.

What BIG dogs! I have four and the largest is a Lab. Smallest weighs less than 7lbs at 7 months.

I don't usually throw so much of the same in one room, but when we built this house, DS said he "did not want dead things in his (guest) bedroom." Like we ever had dead things around the house when he was growing up! lol Since we live in the woods, I didn't want to go that direction, so I went with dogs.

I went a tad overboard. Have two pictures in a drawer. :-/ I bought the material for long pillow on bed from ebay and had a friend sew the pillow. It features a hunting scene with dogs and horses. We live in a horse community, so i like the horses thrown in. The room is quite large (16x12) so things are fairly spread out. Doesn't scream DOGS when you walk in. lol

There is a vintage dog bookend for a doorstop in the room, but no photos. I have two Boston Terrier doorstops in the house (one black/white, one brown/white).

When I was very little, many, many moons ago.....
Back then the Los Angeles Zoo was free Admit.
My Uncle was in charge of certain areas...wore the kahki-colored pants, and matching heavily starched shirt.

Back then there were a lot of 'escapees' from their pens....mostly of the rodent and chick variety.

If a rodents or chicks got loose and my Uncle couldn't find where it came from, he'd get permission to bring it home...... as putting a baby back with the wrong mother would probably mean death to the baby.

My very first pet was a Baby Bunny..."Skuttle Butt".

We probably had 30 or more baby bunnies over the years and now that I can't have a Bunny where I live, bunnies are still very dear to me and I decorate a LOT with Bunnies because of the wonderful childhood memories I have of raising bunny babies.

I must admit, I'm a Bunny Snob...not just any bunny will do. And I don't allow anyone to buy me Bunnies as gifts for Mothers Day, Christmas, etc. A snob, I tell ya. A real Bunny Snob. :)

I keep my Bunny Plates, Statuary, sketches, topiary, pretty much tucked in places that aren't 'in your face' but I know they are there and they never fail to make me smile when I catch a glimpse.

Thanks to this thread, I never realized how many pet/animal decorative items I had until I started looking.

The only pet related decorating items I have in my house are large dog fur tumbleweeds. I'm not so crazy about them actually, and I try to limit how many we have on display at any time, but my sweet old dog spends all day making them for me. If I don't watch out, they take over. ;^) Seriously, while I love my sweet mutt, I don't have any dog art.

I drew these pictures of my cats about 20 years ago for my art classes. The three cats were Zorro, Leo and Ria. The closeup is of Ria was drawn while he slept on the sofa next to me.

Other than these art pieces I have photographs of my pets who have passed on.

Threegrad - I love the drawings of your cats! You are so talented. I hope you've kept it up.

The only animal related decor I have in my house right now is a large tin cat luminary in my FR. It's sort of a tongue-in-cheek statement about the real fur balls not being allowed in that room.

The cats reminded me that I forgot one. :)

So far I only have one. I do love animal prints though.

DH absolutely hate this picture and this is the one thing he's really fought me about. I have yet to find a spot we can agree on. He thinks it's creepy. :) Ha, I suppose it's not for everyone!
