How do you make up a king sized bed?
Comments (30)I'm also a two king pillows with cases and two king pillows with shams user. Everything is white cotton or white matelasse, with a solid yellow quilt folded across the bottom. Our walls are yellow and the bed is against the wall. We have no headboard or footboard. Kitty cat sleeps on the yellow quilt every night. I also relate to your disappointment! I literally cried when my bed was delivered and set up, and called my sister on the phone I was so beside myself! I thought it looked so big and awkward and awful. I concluded I'd made one big honkin' mistake, and couldn't imagine *how* I could make such a thing actually look attractive. A little over six years later now, and I regard our king-sized bed as one of the best purchases we've ever made! Within a few months of living with it and adjusting my eye to it, I loved it, both in terms of how it looked in the room and how it functioned as a wonderful, dreamy place to sleep! I hope you find yourself with a transformed perspective too, Sonicmom....See More2 Euro pillows for king bed?
Comments (8)My husband doesn't mind at all. (I am every so thankful too). I did not like the look at all of only 2 euro shams. But, my fix was easy. The euro shams were white with a pale green 1" border around them. I just bought a plain white one and it goes in the center of the 3. Unless you look close, you would never know it wasn't the same as the others. And it's almost only us that sees them. Plus I have the 2 king sized shams in front. And, as others have pointed out, there is no rule. It's what you personally like....See Morepillow layout for king size bed
Comments (14)on a king bed i like the look of a 'log' in front but honestly they are nasty things to have to move every day; they can weigh a ton and its hard to find a place to dump them every night that you won't trip over in the dark. like a cabel toss, but without the kilt. mine lasted one week before i gave it the heave ho. my husband would have tossed it the first day but he was trying not to hurt my feelings. we stick with one decorative sham (needed to read in bed) and then the pillows we sleep with. happens my husband and i both prefer two thin ones to one thick one so it all balances nicely....See MorePillow sizes for bed and bed staging help
Comments (16)I'd keep the three light ones in back, then the leather, and then one gray or blue booster sized n in front. That's all you need. If you're trying to freshen up the space, I would also paint the walls a white with a hint of blue. The wall color now clashes with the carpet, and a lighter color would expand the space....See Moretuesday_2008
