I've not been posting much, but I thought everyone would like to see what I've been up to lately...

This is Amanda. She'll be 4 weeks old tomorrow and is somewhere over 9# now.

But since that's not quilt related, here are a few more projects completed!! LOL

Your quilting projects are beautiful...but that baby takes the prize. She is too precious for words. Congratulations! Cherish her because she'll be grown before you know it. Thanks for sharing...and we'll be looking for pictures of Amanda on a regular basis!

Well, it's rained everyday since sunday so i'm gonna try to run out and finish the painting this afternoon! Kathy---i hope the paint holds up too...im trying not to be a negative nancy but I don't know that i have any real faith that it will. sigh. i tried to tell them that but they kept bugging me. now im kinda mad that i caved, lol luna--no one minds the colored grass...the one before us planted solid bahia in our yard because of the slope. (haven't gotten around to replacing it) So, it grows like a weed and is chopped off in literally days.

Wow! Can I hire you? :) So creative. Everything came together nicely. And what a far cry from my first digs. Love your window treatment using a drop cloth. I had slipcovers made using drop clothes for two Ethan Allen chairs that my friend's neighbor was planning to leave out for bulk trash (cat peed on the seat cushions, but I had new cushions made). Now I just need some colorful pillows for them - how much do you charge for pillows? ;) Maybe your daughter will eventually have the desire to learn to sew. My mother was very talented when it came to sewing but despite her efforts to teach me when I was younger, I had no desire. A few years ago I bought my dd a sewing machine so she could fool around making pillows and costumes, whatever else. A friend who sews told me she'd help me make panels for my living room. With her guidance (I did all the work) I made four lined panels for my living room windows. My mom almost fell over when she saw how nicely they turned out! She couldn't believe that *I* had made them! I now am interested in taking some sewing classes but so far, haven't had the time yet. You are very talented!

Here is another thing Cindy made, I had scrounged the mold for free and here is one of the molds, the 1/2 head, there is a full head too, that I hope she posts about!(It is about the same size of a real person's head...I perm markered his eyes to make him more creepy!lol!) GET THAT CAMERA THING WORKED OUT, GIRLIE!!! Where's DH? Betcha he can fix it. Everything sounds fabulous. You and KLINGER w/have soooooo much fun playing w/the kiln. I want one, but think I've finally decided to let it go. The dichroic glass I would like to play w/is way too expensive for my stingy self. Then the clay, utensils, molds, glazes etc. - well - it's another black hole to pour my pennies down, so I'll enjoy seeing what y'all make.

Amanda is the very best sight I've seen all day. She is precious. Like Caroline, I can almost smell her and feel her peach-soft skin. Ahhh, nothing better than a baby.

What a beautiful baby girl (and what nifty projects!). Amanda must be quite an easy going gal for you to be able to get so much done!
You'll have so much fun making cute little clothes for her. I miss making clothes for my girl Abbie. She's 15 now and likes cool stuff. In fact that's how I got into quilting. Once she grew tired of homemade clothes--I had to do some type of sewing--so why not quilt!
Enjoy every minute with your girl--I'm happy to say, that every age has been fun being a mom. While I miss sewing for my daughter--shopping with her is fun too!

Ohhh, Amanda is beautiful. Makes me wish I could pick her up and give her a gentle snuggle hug. Your projects are very nice too but she is exceptional. Our daughter is expecting their second child any day and I am so anxious to meet the little one. Babies are such a blessing

She is beautiful and hopefully she will grow up appreciating your talented fingers. I sewed dresses for my daughter, but she refused to wear them--Tom boy from the start. She grew up with no interest in sewing, but one Christmas she requested a dress form and I knew the genes had passed.
