Who would like to make this quilt!

It would be 12 blocks 6 gingerbread men

6 Sixteen-patch blocks

Step 1. Arrange and sew 4 rows of 2 assorted red and white 3 1/2" squares Sew rows together to make Sixteen-patch Block. Make 6 total

Step 2 make a 12.5 block for gingerman on white fabric.

fusible allowed no raw edges....emblishments allowed.

you design your own gigngerman

Fabric 100% cotton colors red and white may use christmas reds no children prints...

Sign ups are being taken now till friday the 11th

OK Red...you got me on this one. I told myself, no major swaps for a while since I'm doing a fill in on the flower swap...but this one I gotta do. I collect gingers for my kitchen & Christmas time.

Re: the 16 patch squares....can the reds & whites be prints? And we're not doing the 16 patch border, right?

no border just the 16 patch block. Red and white fabric for the 16 patch can a christmas print. A white on white or a solid white for the gingermen.

Welcome, Dee, Becky and Lisa, glad you could join us! I spent the day dealing with my groundhog problem. He has cleared my back flower bed, and the hole he is digging is going to undermine my shed. Time for solutions! I called Animal Control and they gave me a list of people who will come to your home and trap the critter. Great. I called the first one and he wanted to charge me $100 to trap my groundhog. I'm serious. AND, I guess as an added bonus, he said they would also take it away. NO?! Really!? And I was thinking the critter would live in that trap in my backyard forever. Sorry for the sarcasm, but come on. In any event, a friend of a friend is, hopefully, coming over sometime this week to trap the groundhog AND take him away, free of charge. This guy has already trapped 13, yes, 13 groundhogs at his home/yard this year. This wasn't the most encouraging news I've had recently. Hey, on a more postive note: The first swap for FOTESS will be posted Saturday! Are ya ready!!? Shirley!

Hi Everyone,, I sat down to work on my blocks last night - hoping to get a great start on all 12 blocks...I had found the pattern I was going to do - cut all of my pieces for all 12 blocks....that's a lot of pieces...only to find out that once I had pieced the first block, there seems to be a problem in the pattern because the pieces don't line up.....so it's back to square one - I think I've found another - pattern....but not sure that I can recut any of the pieces that I've already cut...we'll see..but this time, I'll cut one and put it together to make sure that it looks right first....Guess we learn by trial and error.... Hi Everyone,,, Well, today in Quebec was a day to sit out the storm - and it's still falling - we should have about 40cm by the time it's over...for the non-metric members, just divide by 2.5 for the number of inches..it's way too many.. Well, in sitting out the storm I decided to get out my fabrics and get Cheryl's block completed....and Cheryl, it's done - and will be in tomorrow's mail... I hope you enjoy it....I am new to quilting - and the block exchange is a great way for me to practice and get really into my work - and I can't tell you the fun that I had today....I made a duplicate for myself at the same time since this block is my first quilt block..... I was going to attached a photo but I forgot how to put pictures on here....- I hope that you enjoy it..I know that your birthday is not until Jan. 03rd but I wanted to get it in the mail early to make sure that you get it on time. Okay, I'm confused. Are we swapping the gingerbread men or the 16-patch blocks? How many of what do we make? Or can I sign up to make 12 gingerbread men and someone else signs up for twelve 16-patch blocks? Personally, I'd like to get 12 different gingerbread men!

We have 3 so far these blocks aren't due till Nov 1st .
This will make a darling quilt or use them for placemats or table runners.....let's get some more sign ups!

Thanks Red, I found a perfect pattern on the Net that is about that size. The arms on my own patterns just didn't look right!!!!
