Follow-up on Thread ...

In case you got tired of the last post on this subject and didn't catch this: Can't believe what I saw on TV this morning on Sew America! Sue Hauseman had a lady on from C&C demonstrating making lace items on an electronic VIKING sewing machine with - guess what? - C&C Dual Duty thread!!! I busted out laughing when she said one project took 15 spools of their thread. (You know, the linty, dusty, cheap thread that my dealer told me not to use?) How ironic! I feel like emailing this to the dealer and saying what gives.

I saw that same show and thought the same thing! C&C obviously are paying advertisers for the program.

Well if you start a thread you can track it. GW will send you an e-mail if you check the box for it. Sometimes I search for my screen-name to help me remember what I have and have not checked. Other than that I don't know how to track it.

I use C&C dual duty XP and I really like it.

I have a Janome and I can not use C&C in the top and bobbin. I can't get the tension correct so I use it in the top with no probs and use Connecting Threads in the bobbin.
I haven't found it to cause more lint and I do clean my machine when I change the bobbin. My manual doesn't say too much about threads.
I bought a big cone of a neutral color from Connecting Threads on sale really cheap that will not fit on the spindle. I read long ago to put it in a cup to the right and I never thought it would work, but it works great!!
I use C&C because Wally World carries a good selection of different colors.
Last month I needed orange for a charity quilt and I really don't want a huge spool lol!!
The thing I forget is what Annie suggested on a post once, lower the stitch count for a better quality seam.
