One way: there's a box at the top of a post that says "Image file to upload (optional). Click on the grey "Browse..." button. It will open up the file system on your...are we talking computer, smartphone, tablet? Say it's your computer. You click around your file system to locate the picture file you want, then double click on the picture when you find it. It will fill the empty box. Then you can post that photo. Another way: get a free photobucket account, upload your photos to your account, then copy the "HTML" code associate with each photo and paste it into your message post. Another way: get a free flickr or photobucket or picasa or some other photo site account, and post a link to your photo on that site. There's a youtube video on posting a photo to a forum, via photobucket, you could have a look at that. Most forums use the IMG code for photos, but gardenweb uses the HTML code, so that bit is different...but it could give you an idea of how easy it is. Hoping that helps! I was reminded of something when I read the You Know You are a Compost Whacko... I heard Felder Rushing speak recently and he says you're not a real gardener until you've cleaned out your car with a leaf blower. I'm sorry/happy to say that I've done that. :) Pam

When I sign in GW, its the home page. Then I open "Forums" page. There you have all kinds of listings of the forum, alphabetically, by name,....you name it. But, to me most things that gardeners grow(not landscaping, not flowers, ..) fit into VEGETABLES. There you can see a bigger crowd talking about all kinds of vegetable(including tomatoes, peppers ,.. herbs) The next crowded(w/most participants) and lively forum is "Growing tomatoes". No wonder b/c tomato is the most popular vegetable grown by gardeners across USA and elsewhere. I personally, also visit the following forums regularly: --- Herbs --- Alliums --- Asian Vegetables. --- pumpkins, squash... --- beans, .., legumes ... I also do go to my regional gardening group forum on occasionally. Not very often, because I am not interested in shrubs, landscaping etc. I already know enough about them and it is not something that I have to deal with everyday. Also, I have no interest in issues like container gardening, harvesting, All in all, there are many forums for just about anybody who wants to learn or contribute.

I used to always use Google to search for username site:gardenweb.com. But it seems like ever since Gardenweb added "Recent Posts" to the right side of the page, I get too many useless results. The Gardenweb search feature at the bottom of each forum index page seems to work better for me. Type in your username, select "Entire Site" and click search. =========== Edit: Oh, once you get those results, look for: "Run this search at: HortiPlex Plant Database GardenWeb Europe GardenWeb Australia ThatHomeSite!" or similar underneath the results.
