You're welcome, I'm sorry it's not working for you. It shouldn't make a difference but what browser are you using? I use IE for GW and Firefox for most everything else. One way: there's a box at the top of a post that says "Image file to upload (optional). Click on the grey "Browse..." button. It will open up the file system on your...are we talking computer, smartphone, tablet? Say it's your computer. You click around your file system to locate the picture file you want, then double click on the picture when you find it. It will fill the empty box. Then you can post that photo. Another way: get a free photobucket account, upload your photos to your account, then copy the "HTML" code associate with each photo and paste it into your message post. Another way: get a free flickr or photobucket or picasa or some other photo site account, and post a link to your photo on that site. There's a youtube video on posting a photo to a forum, via photobucket, you could have a look at that. Most forums use the IMG code for photos, but gardenweb uses the HTML code, so that bit is different...but it could give you an idea of how easy it is. Hoping that helps! Yup, but I just ignore those 3 GW "picture links" (not ads). Seems they could be ambitious and offer a little more variety? The "Most Recent" text posts don't hurt anything, and the list changes fast. I've used it to visit topics/forums that I probably would not find otherwise. Do notice its quite active in gardening type stuff, which don't interest me. I put the mouse over the topic, and the bottom bar tells me which forum it is in. Helps decide whether to go there. Some subjects are not clear, I may 'guess' home decor, but they are discussing dead flowers.

Always use the search box on the bottom of the page rather than the top! One further note: Threads drop off the Forum list about 6-8 weeks after the last post. So, if you have a thread that no one's posted to in the past couple of months, it will most likely have rolled off the Forum list and no longer be found when you do a search. Sometimes, a Google search will find an old thread, but there's no guarantee and, in my experience, you usually don't find them. However, IF you bookmarked the thread and it had at least one post after November/December 2007, you will probably be able to bring it up via the bookmark. [Posting to a thread after it's dropped of will not get it back on the list, but the later post(s) will show up if anyone links to the thread directly.] BTW...the 6-8 weeks is an estimate. It depends on how active the Forum is. In the case of Kitchens, we have 67 pages to the thread list...but if you look at that page you'll notice that the "oldest" post date/time right now (as I type) is Fri, Dec 5, 08 at 16:03
