That Cookies & Cream looks good, as does the Birthday Cake Ice Cream! I really like your orange marmalade and chocolate idea, too, Helene! Here are a couple of my favorites. Both from the B&J ice cream book. Cherry Garcia Ice Cream From Ben & JerryÃ¯Â¿Â½s Ice Cream & Dessert Book 1/4 c shaved plain chocolate (recommended Hershey's Special Dark candy bars) 1/4 c fresh Bing Cherries, halved & pitted 2 large eggs 3/4 c sugar 2 c heavy cream 1 c milk Place shaved chocolate flakes and cherries in separate bowls. Cover and refrigerate. Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the cream and milk and whisk to blend. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer's directions. After the ice cream stiffens (about 2 minutes before it is done), add the chocolate and the cherries, continue freezing until ice cream is ready. Makes grateful 1 quart. Orange Cream Dream From Ben & JerryÃ¯Â¿Â½s Ice Cream Book Cream Base: 2 large eggs 3/4 c sugar 2 c heavy cream 1 c milk Whisk eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time then continue to whisk until completely blended. Pour in the cream and milk and whisk to blend. 1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 2 tsp vanilla extract Add to the cream base and process in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. We normally drink a local brand, Peet's, selecting the Italian Roast (a lot stronger and more bitter than French Roast) and have it preground in a #2 grind, which is one small step above powder (Turkish). A standard drip grind is #6 and espresso is #4, for comparison. We do a Melitta drip with Melitta woven filters, which make a much better brew than standard paper filters. For iced coffee, we do a double-strength brew: make our usual coffee, then immediately use it to pour through a fresh batch of grounds. DH grew up in Hong Kong so he prefers the taste of sweetened condensed milk in iced tea and coffee drinks. If we make a large batch, we chill it in the frig for a few hours so that no ice cubes dilute it. But if we're desperate, a few ice cubes in a glass chill it quickly, and this brew is so strong, a 1/4 cup of water is barely noticeable in a tall glass. Chocolate syrup is a nice addition, except you have to add extra for it to make any impact on what is basically a triple-strength espresso drink. Unbelievably, my DH can drink this right before going to bed and drop off to sleep like a baby....yeah, I'm jealous of that!

My cats LOVED the freeze-dried meats. I'll be ordering more. I wonder if the cats who didn't like the treats aren't used to plain meat in their diets? Mine are, so it seems normal that they'd be delighted with the freeze dried meat. For those who aren't used to plain meat, it's understandable that they wouldn't rush to something so foreign. Across the board are some interesting other favourites. These include plain Greek yoghurt, butter, pan spray (I have to keep the stuff under lock and key, and a sprayed pan needs to be out of reach or they'll lick the pan spray off, yuck), one loves potato chips or french fries, she also loves buttered popcorn. They all enjoy squash and peas. They love ice cream-Husband takes a spoonful, then offers one to the cats, then has another for himself on the same spoon!. They like to lick but not eat strawberries and some melons. Sweet basil leaves need to be locked away or they'll eat every last one. Doesn't matter if fresh or dried. Two love spinach in all its stringy glory after cooking.

salgal- I have to agree with you about Lapp Valley Farm in Pa. When we live in CT we went to Lancaster County twice a year to visit the Amish. We found that farm when we were riding around. The ice cream could not be beat. The older Amish man told us he could wrap the ice cream for us so we could bring it back to CT & it would not thaw & he was right. Hubby has a sweet tooth so we always came back with at least 8-10 gallons.

Mackinac Island Fudge Ice Cream from the old fashioned trolley ice cream store in Ahmeek, MI! Yummmm..... Or maybe thier specialty, which they call the 'Big Mack' - 3 kinds of Mackinac Island ice cream. Big enough for Gary and I to share!

Watermelon...nice sweet watermelon (and cantelopes, too). The imported ones we get in the winter aren't sweet.

Fresh peaches, picked within 24 hours of my going to their little fruit/vegetable stand which is about 10 miles from my home.

Watermelon, nectarines, and fresh peaches! The peach season is short and sweet and I love making fresh peach pies. Yummy!!

Living in So. Cal we have all kinds of fruits year round, but they are locally grown in the summertime and that always makes them taste better.

Peaches for sure- We grow them right here in my little town. My other favorite is a good old fashioned popsicle! Rootbeer floats too!

Cantaloupe.......just finished eating some,icy cold from the fridge.DS came in yesterday from visiting DD in OK and stopped on the side of the road where a guy was selling them.He bought 5 about the size of a volleyball.I figured being so huge they probably wouldn't be that good but they are delicious.Cut one up last night and it's all gone.Cut up another one this morning and it is almost gone.And I was afraid they would ruin before we could eat them all! LOL I could live on them.Do you think I'll turn orange from eating so many?

I couldn't think of a favorite, until BLTs were mentioned. Oh, how I look forward to the time when we have "REAL" tomatoes. Around here it isn't until August -- then it's time for BLTs.

I guess ice cream would also rank high on my extensive list!

Homemade peach ice cream. I am my father's daughter after all. LOL One summer he made and ate 6 gallons all by himself. I come from a long line of ice cream lovers.
