Dawn, that little cutie might be the smallest "Moose" ever. I hope you're feeling better today! I'm too busy to be sick. It makes me grouchy when I'm too sick to do the things I feel like I need to. What kind of flowers are you trying to grow? I've been through those rounds for many years of letting the kiddos start seeds indoors in Feb & few, if any, ever really thrived. LOL Always wound up going out to buy plants to replace them. Ah, well, at least it kept them busy & excited & hopeful waiting for spring. This year we did the winter sowing thing & so far it looks like the ones that have sprouted outside and survived the ups and downs of our weather are smaller, but hardier & more healthy looking than any they tried growing inside. Moose, eh?

Theresa, I got your plants yesterday in great shape! They're lovely! I planted them yesterday evening, and then I covered them in case of frost (it was supposed to be 35 degrees last night, but I was afraid it might get just a bit colder). I can't wait to see the daylilies bloom, and the creeping phlox and ajuga are just perfect for that rocky slope! Thank you so much! --Amy in MO P.S. Suzanne, You guys are getting rained out today? Mary Ann, Your margarita and nacho diet sounds good to me! It is overcast and cool here today. I got up at the crack of dawn a spent a couple of hours weeding and tying up tomatoes in the garden. I have 16' of staked tomatoes and 16' supported by the "Florida Weave" as a comparison test on the two methods. I harvested a ton of carrot, onion, lettuce, radish, bok choy, cabbage, and chard. Housework planned for the rest of the day, Spending the day with the kids for Mother's day tomorrow. Happy Mother's day to all Mamas of human AND animal babies : ) Tikanas

Jeanne, yes thank you for a fun swap month. Weather wise here has not been a fun month. Hail two or three different nights last week. Storms almost every day. We live on a small hill and still have water standing in the yard. Tornadoes all around us. High winds up to 77 miles an hour. Last night the wind was so bad the electrical wires beside our house and across the street caught fire, broke and looked like fireworks. Our power was off from before 6pm until around 11 today. Annie, the bees were shining bright in the yard, so I brought them inside. They made enough light in the bathrooms that we could go in without having to use other lights. Pretty cool. Tracking says your package is out for delivery. Hope y’all are all having a good month.
