This is what I found yesterday, when I went to see why the birds were making so much noise in the front yard:

Damned snake.

omg the snake got the baby birds! That is terrible! Agree Damned snake!

wow the eagle nest picture they are usually so high in the tippy top of the trees how on Earth did you manage to get such an incredible shot. That is awesome!

Beautiful Magpie! when we lived in Denver we had lots of magpies in our yard in the fruit trees.

The eagles nest can be seen from Signal Hill, one of the highest spots in the city. The cliffs are high and steep so even though we can lok down on the nest it's still in a good spot for the eagle. Here on someone else's blog you can see the location of it.
