I will be out of commission for a time next week so today I will clean out the winter debris from the gardens and stain two obelisks I just bought. We have had so much rainy and cold (yes even frosty!!) days...today is sunnier but still chilly, so out I go!! Luckily I have the day off to get it done.

Oh yea....starting that colonoscopy prep...nothing but clear liquids. I'm glad I have a case of chicken broth...LOL

The test will be tomorrow!

The grandson's 6th grade graduation ceremony is today so we have to go to that!! Can't believe he is going into 7th grade next year.

Im at work for the day but it should go quickly. I have quite a bit to take care of. Im hoping to sit outside at lunch time and enjoy the sun that has finally arrived here in Maryland. Tonight I have alot of junk to haul to the curb for pick up in the morning and a really nasty kitchen to clean. Hope your hospital visit goes quickly, Marilyn_sue. Satine

There's a park here that has dirt piles for kids to play in and they'll supposedly turn on the water to make a mud hole - so we're taking a friend and going to check that out, I think B will love it!

I'll be making up a red sauce for the Chili Colorado I'm making today and tomorrow. I'm making up burrito's as a fund raiser for my grandson Nathan. I'm hoping to make some extra money for them to tuck away for their 2nd trip back to UCLA in 3 months.
The whole family goes to Hawaii on the 22nd of this month. Make A Wish is sending them. Nate loved it so last time he went with the Sunshine Kids. I know they'll all enjoy it.

I am back from the blood draw at the hospital. This is a small hospital and now they have something new. We always have to sign in when we get there, walk down the hall a bit and sit and wait until your name is called and you go into the proper admitting room. Now, you sign in, they hand you a blue square thing that vibrates and flashes lights when you are called. They have you to sit out front. You give the blue thing back to them at the desk and they tell you what room to go to! It seems so funny to me as there aren't that many there waiting. Oh and they are also now asking for your drivers license when you are in admitting. They never used to, just your insurance card and if you have any paperwork. I don't have a drivers license, but do have an id card. We had breakfast from Hardee's and then went to the garden center. Amber bought a Japanese maple (very pretty) and a flat of impatiens. We unloaded those at her house and then she brought me home. We drove out back and discovered the water had drained way down in the koi pond, so we unplugged the falls and have it filling again. Checked out the garden and I pulled a few radishes and promptly left them in her truck. I plan to go back out a bit later and do some work in the garden, after my pain pills do their job! So that is my day so far. If I am able I will let you know what I get done :)

I am going to take lots of cans and bottles to recycling today. I am also going to do a little decluttering in my guest room. DS will arrive next week in a rental truck with all his belongings to fill my garage.

Work in a friend's garden. We did a little yesterday and then they came to my house and helped me plant part of mine. I'm going to do the rest of mine this weekend.

Alex and I were supposed to go to Morehead Univ. today but he had CATS testing and an AP Chemistry test today. He just got home, because they let them out early today...so we could have made it. GRRR! I left them a message so we could reschedule.

Coming home and reading the rest of "New Moon" -the vampire books, got it yesterday and read nearly half of it last night. I really want to stay home and read but I promised I would be there to help with the garden. Oh, and later tonight I'll be watching American Idol.

A friend is visiting from Florida and we are going out to lunch at a really lovely restaurant in about 20 minutes. Later on today I need to get on the phone with the Apple technical people and find out why my email isn't working.

Dentist appointment - scraping and digging (also called cleaning your teeth).

No....off from work today. Just clean the clutter and bathrooms.

This morning I made a bread delivery for Meals on wheels...Monday and Wed. we pick up everything that is left over at Panera Bread and take it to Meals on Wheels...Our people really, really appreciate getting those goodies plus the bread...I stayed and helped do the count for the day and then had a doctor's appointment...He's never sure just what to do with me...After I told him I was turning into a dizzy broad, he did order a brain scan (for real)...And along with the other hand full of meds he wants me to take something for my weakening bones...Every time I go, I seem to get another RX...Thank goodness I only have to pay the co pay....But the good news, I lost a couple of pounds..(not sure how that happened)

I did clean the bathroom and kitchen and now I'm waiting for a friend to call to go to lunch...I should just stay home, I have a lot I could be doing outside...

I'm going fix some stew in the crock pot and that might be it for the day.....

IF I can get over this headache caused by our dog barking sooooo much due to the workers replacing the hail damaged siding on our house, I plan on sewing the purse I cut out last night.

I got a terrific haircut - that's not only special, it's downright miraculous *LOL*

I spent a couple hours in the garden today cutting & deadheading things,mostly sedums and succulents.It felt good to be able to do that again.

Just got back from driving to west LA to daughter's house. My son came over and I took our 2 year old grandson, daughter and son out to celebrate our son's 33rd birthday. I so love being with my adult kids. They have grown up to be fine young people, and I am thrilled with how much they enjoy each other's friendship.

Our younger son was here for a visit last week, and we had all gotten together then with my brother and his wife to celebrate our sons' and my brother's May birthdays.
