I put stuff out by the curb for a pickup the next day and people come by and take it. with books and magazines I leave them at hospitals and at the jury room at court. I also leave stuff in the halls at court. People are happy to have anything to read. I have left magazines in the airport, on a plane. I just put a sticky on the front that says "free--I'm thru with it" What is so strange is that I had bought a Home & garden magazine in France and put a note on the front page--and left it at my health club. 6 months later I am at the car wash and there's my magazine with a bunch of comments on the front page, from the different readers. REI is currently have a bike parts collection. Any parts of bikes or old ones they collect and give you a gift certificate. Jury rooms will take puzzles or games. Some courthouses have a room for children and they are delighted to get stuffed animals, games, crayons, paper, etc.

My mom had hers at the bottom of the steps to the second floor and at the entrance to her kitchen in a hallway. It made a great place to set down your keys when entering the house. Hers had a top to it and she put collectibles in there. In the years since it was moved into a corner of her living room where she could open it up to use it for letter writing. My sister now has it proudly displayed in her living room. A wonderful, usual piece of furniture. In the drawers were the phone books, catalogs etc. Mary

I keep all the racks in my ovens. If I absolutley can't store 4 or 5 racks in the other oven, for example, Thanksgiving dinner where both ovens are in use, then I put the un-needed racks on top of the washing machine in the laundry temporarily. One roasting pan lives under the bottom rack of the upper oven. I bake a lot of bread and I pour boiling water in there to create steam, or I roast veggies in it once a week. The other roasting pan stays in the cupboard above the ovens where I have vertical storage. There is enough room there for both racks if I need it. The fan covers, probes and manual (which I still occasionally refer to 3 years later) are all in a drawer next to the ovens while the rotisserie skewers and supports live horizontally accross the front of the drawers under the ovens. Kathie, FYI, I was at BBB with a coupon and bought an oven thermometer. It's a Tru-temp dial one that can either stand on the rack or hang from it. I have it on the OPPOSITE side of the oven from the sensor which I believe is on the same wall as the probe. I did a LOT of baking yesterday, cheesecake crusts at 350, then cheesecakes at 275, then up to 375 for a casserole and down to 350 for the cookies. The thermometer was spot on at every temperature. I did notice that the oven cooled down from 350 to 275 faster when switched on then when turned off.

I can highly recommend Outdoor Challenge. In fact, we think it's better than WiiFit (which we also have) We bought ours at Amazon, but I've seen it at Target. It was around $60 The sports games that come with the Wii are all good and can keep you busy for a while. If you wanna see how to make the strike on the last ball of the bowling TRAINING section which has 91 pins, check out YouTube. It is soooo cool when you can do it. Guitar Hero is one the g'kids like, but even though I love music, I don't especially care for it. Prefer something that makes you MOVE. The g'kids also like Boogie and I like watching them do that one. At least they get exercise with Boogie.
