Try the Nantucket fog~ that sounds nice!

Don't rush into painting. You WILL regret it. I would be looking for something that goes well with the window trim and door and blends well with the Powell Buff. Maybe a sage green?

Could you post a photo taken standing outside the room?

Beekeeperswife: My color deck does not include Alaskan Skies or Paradise HIlls,an internet search shows very little about these choices.

Butter Pecan is probably a better color match to the cabinetry than White Down, so if I want a matching neutral, I will consider Butter Pecan.

Putnam Ivory?? OR blue sky colors? Harbor Haze, which seems to match my SW Tradewind sample, as colorcharts suggests.

Or green grass coordinating colors??

If you look at the link I posted, you will see the suggested colors on their new tool.

If you click on Alaskan Skies at the bottom, then the "details" button, it becomes the "featured' color and you can click on the "similar colors" and maybe some of those colors would be in your fandeck. Perhaps it's a "new" color.

They say the similiar color to Alaskan Skies are;

1521 Natures Essentials
982 Cedar Key

FYI, some Ben Moore colors have more than one name. My store sells Ben, and when I look up a color formula, some colors have a button "Also known as".

Alaskan Skies 972 = Baby Fawn OC-15 = Edgecomb Gray HC-173

(And no, I can't automatically rattle off any other colors and their twin names, but that color is one I'm leaning towards for my living room.)

Though out of the colors mentioned so far, my vote is for Paradise Hills Green. Bring your gorgeous view in! If that one is too green, Dune Grass might be pretty.

Jessicaml: Edgecomb Gray = Alaskan Skies, I already have painted two rooms Edgecomb Gray, and the darker choice Revere Pewter, which is not at all what I want for this laundry room. THanks for the BM information regarding same formula, different names.

If you paint it the same color as the hallway, the laundry room wall will vanish when the door is open. It will look like an extension of the hall, making the whole space look bigger.

Today I'm considering BM Mt Ranier Gray, when I look out the window the grass is way below, and I feel like I want the room to blend with the sky colors,which have been very gray lately!! Maybe that's why I liked Harbor Haze earlier.

Lazygardens, sunroom is decatur buff, so I did consider both of those colors, I just want to try a new color.

Should I get a sample of Mt Ranier Gray? Anyone have experience with this color?? I decided Harbor Haze might be too pastel, agree?? Thanks

My studio is almost finished with Ben Moore's Crystalline, AF-485, on the walls and Putnam Ivory on the trim. My cabinets will be Navajo white, but right now they just have a white primer on them. The white looks nice with the Crystalline too. I tried to take a picture for you but the Crystalline is not showing up correctly in my photos. It changes with the light, sometimes more green, sometimes more blue. It's a very pretty, soothing color. You'd need to see a larger sample of it to get the true impression. It appears darker on the sample chip.

What color is two shades darker than the powell bluff that is in your hallway and kitchen? Given that you have so little wall space, a darker color would be fun. My sense is that rooms that you use only periodically (bathrooms, laundry rooms) are great places to go a bit darker than you otherwise would choose.

IMO I'd paint it a soothing color that makes you feel calm and serene, after all doing laundry is not the height of your day, make the space feel lovely. I'd also chuck the pictures unless you totally love them that is. I tend to more minimalist myself and dislike having stuff that I don't 100% treasure. I'd rather stare at a blank (yet nicely painted) wall than something that is just space filler. YMMV
