What color should I paint my great room?
I know this is a little ridiculous to ask, since colors can be so different on a monitor, but I would like suggestions on what I should paint my great room. I have pictures below that show my new fabrics! My great room does flow into my kitchen, but I do have a little divider that would allow me to choose a different color. The room is 21'8" x 17" with 9 foot ceilings and my fabrics came from Ballard Designs. Let me know what you think!

Comments (9)Are the walls painted a dark or bright, or deep color? If they are then i might think of painting them. If they are more neutral I would do as jmm said first. You can always give a painting allowance in the sales contract. The chance of YOU picking the the exact colors that I would are fairly slim. Comments (17)have they already primed the ceiling? you could get your primer tinted in a 50% of the Moth gray. have them do the ceiling in it. if you don't like it, then they can just continue on and paint it in the regular white color. not a big deal. but getting a small sample from Behr is only $3. they can color match the Moth color and cut it by 1/2. it won't be exact, but it will be close enough that you can see if you like it or not. painting the ceiling is going to take on a diff look because of the way light reflects up onto it. Comments (8)oh. your trim would work with a lot of colors I suppose. Cream. Sage. Vibrant green(even though I hear you want to move away from green, but as a possibility) . Subtle light blue-or maybe turquoise. Coral. Mustard might work. Wallpaper can be truly fabulous. Depends what feel are you after. 3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoI’d paint the kitchen as well; will help to coordinate entire space/feel less broken up and a lighter color will be more complimentary to floor as well as feel lighter.
BM Ballet White could work well and you may find article helpful
