I can see cream cabinets with a brown glaze. Your counter top if beautiful.

I think a warm cream would be beautiful. I love the terra cotta tile!

Do you know of any specific colors I could use? There are so many and it can be so confusing to choose.

My local paint store has small poster size sheets of many of the BM Aura cream/white paints. It was helpful to look at them in the store, bring home a couple, and live with them for a few days. I cannot judge colors at all from the typical small paint cards. I used "Collector's Item."

I think cream would be great. I also think you could go a bit darker--look at the border of tiles you have. Is there anything in there you could use? If you go with cream, will it work with your wall color in the adjoining room/breakfast bar?

Try two colors on for size (paint two boards and lean them up against the cabs and on the floor about a cabinet door size....Ralph Lauren parchment and ralph lauren writers parchment (which is lighter than parchment). Both colors match your corgi's belly :) And would flow well, offering a soft creamy tone or stepping up one level to a rich tan. They don't have too much pink or yellow in the tones so they should compliment your granite (which is gorgeous). In particular I think the writers parchment might be best.

One other color to consider is ralph lauren again, called startched apron. Don't judge it by it's paint chip (it's no where close). It has just a hint of pink in the ivory but not enough to turn on you with the counters I don't think. I think it would work well with the tiles :) And again, with the corgi's :oP It would be the lightest cream I'd use in your kitchen.

I agree with igloochic re a hint of pink to pick up the pink and peach tones in your lovely granite.

Have you considered a darker base cabinet and lighter uppers? Your counter has smokey quartz colour in it - wonder if a more chocolate (think hot chocolate powder) base would look good with a creamy upper? (I'm slightly biased - have dark, dark chocolate cabinets with my crema bordeaux granite, but my main backsplash tile is a lovely matte light chocolate colour)

Thank You - I will look at these colors. I seem to remember looking at parchment and really liking it. I have not considered darker base cabinets but I think I might mull it over.

I definitely have to decorate around Sierra (the Corgi) she is a fixture on the cool kitchen tiles. :)

What ever color I choose I will probably continue to the rest of the cabinets in the house. A big decision.
