Thought I'd report back on germinating beans with a nitrate solution. (Only a third [8/24] of my beans planted in ground earlier in May had germinated). In the cell pack with Miracle Grow I planted 72 beans. Thirty one germinated, so 43%. The cells were too small, so that a couple of beans got their roots growing over the stem, so that they could not get up out of the soil. Pretty weird to see a bean with true leaves trapped in the pro-mix, coiled twice,yet not able to escape the roots. Those roots were partly above the soil. Also, some beans came up with oddly thin stems. (That was the case in the garden as well.) Quite a few had trouble completely splitting their seed coats even after their were well above the soil, so I gave them a little help with that. Tonight I planted out as many as I could. Will be interesting to see how many survive transplant. I left the weaklings in the cell packs to see if they will develop any more. I still need to plant out a lot more but I'm going to move on to my seed purchased for 2018. Got to get them in pronto.

"My lines are 3/8" and 7/8", all 4 sales reps said they are fine and just need to be cleaned, going to r410. This hp was only installed 8 yrs ago. I will ask the sales reps about the size again and what are the specs. The lines are run overhead into an attic not hard get to about 20' plus across the attic and the distance down to the units. Good info size, thickness, thanks" Interesting that your current HP failed in 8 years. This would 'suggest' that the failure was installation-related. What was the cause of the failure; are you planning to have the same contractors install the replacement? V

A dissenting viewpoint. When it does need to be replaced, will you be doing that yourself? Then keep it until it dies. But if you don't DIY, you'll pay in the remodel to have the old one installed and then when you replace it, you'll pay again for the new installation (and that will be a minimum one hour charge, if your plumber is like mine). Further, I went from a 1/2HP Insinkerator Badger to a 3/4HP Insinkerator Evolution ProCompact, and it was a huge improvement. So if it's relatively new, then keeping it makes sense, but if you may only have a couple more years, ditch it now and move up. In the past, my Insinkerators usually lasted about 10 years. Maybe I'm hard on them.

It's a fun place, but you're ready for change. I think the wide dining room stripes are in conflict with the more narrow shiplap, so that's a place to start. If I were going to do more shiplap, I'd do it in the dining room, not the yellow room. You could take it all the way up to the division between the lower and upper parts of your windows, Top it with a plate rail, and then add a nice pop of color at the top, like the cherry red from the chairs. Start a collection of plates to put on the rail. If one of those two DR walls is wide enough for the china cabinet to stand against it, I would reverse the two pieces there so nothing has to be cornered. Unless you're really tired of it, I think the yellow could stay for a while. Think about slipcovering the sofa and chairs in the cream color from the buffalo check chair, and get a new rug and pillows to change the vibe.
