I paid $3.50 today. Unreal.

Went down a few cents today. I can get gas for about $3.79.
Whoopee.

I think we're at about $3.89 here.

It makes me sick every time I drive by my gas station and see the price go up. It's now at $3.59. I drive a mini-van and am proud to say that the last time I filled up was 2 weeks ago. Gas was $3.39 then. I'm a bit under a half tank. I really think twice before driving anywhere!

We are between $3.95 to $4.05/gal regular here and that was on Monday....no telling what it will be tomorrow.
I am glad we are retired and can plan our trips to our best advantage when we have to do errands or get groceries.
I really miss driving up the coast to have lunch.

We have $3.47-$3.49, at least last night, yet. Please hope it doesn't go up before Sunday morning! We still have to fill the coach before leaving! I have $0.90 off from groceries and still have to get groceries for the trip, so I will get more off. They do a $0.10/gal for every $50 you spend. You can get up to 30 gallon at that price. The rest I will use the gas card for and get their discount. But still, 75 gallon tanks take a lot of gas and $$$$$$!!!!

I'm afraid it's going to affect our school taxes, too. Next school year our school district is going to pay $250,000 more for heating oil alone.

As of yesterday it was $3.52 here. $3.41 at WM.

Ours when I was in town the other day was 3.49. On my drive home I found the E85 and it was 2.89 so I filled up with that. Brians truck is diesel and it is running 4.09! Took him 130.00 to fill up yesterday....Stacy

My Explorer runs on E-85...that's about a dollar cheaper here in town than gas!

We use diesel and it's about $3.19 here.

Our town doesn't have the E85 deamn I just happened to find it driving home and was sure glad! Wow vannie I haven't see diesel that cheap in forever around here or in missouri...Stacy

We use Exxon because, as annuitants, we get a discount. It's from $3.45 to $3.48 at the local stations.

I feel sorry for the truckers and folks who have long commutes. I wish our govt. would do something to bring the prices back down.

I know what you mean Connie and others. It is just horrible; I have three gas stations
near me and here are their prices: Sunco 3.55 Texaco 3.59 Exxon 3.59. All of them
have jumped any where from 4-6 cents over night. When and how is there going to
be relief? The poor truckers it is worse for them and it is affecting our lives also.

I heard a news report, this morning, that said by May 15th, gas in our area (KCMO) will be $4/gallon. It could be as high as $6/gallon, but should start to go back down just before the election, as the government tries to lure Americans into a false sense of well-being. After the election, it will soar again, up to the $6/gallon mark! I just try not to drive many miles!

I just filled my tank up at Kroger's, $3.49 (10c off for buying $100 worth of groceries)

Summer's coming up. Prices always go up then. The problem is, my pay isn't going up, and even just driving 10 miles one way to work, it's eating up my money like crazy because I have an older, larger car that drinks gas. I'm glad I don't have an SUV!

I just don't know what can be done. The oil companies are screwing us, and there is no recourse except to stop driving completely, which is not a viable solution to most of us. They created a "commuter society" with cheap gas, then slammed us. I think they had this planned for a long, long time. First, they created the commuter society, then they pushed bigger and bigger SUV's on us, then WHAM!

People like me are the ones who are really hurting. I just don't make enough to be able to withstand these prices. Every extra dollar I spend for gas has to come out of my food budget. There's nowhere else to take it from.

I drive 42 miles each way to school, 4-5 times a week. 340-420 miles per week. I try not to spent any more than 10 miles per week on all other things, groceries, etc. I spend about 50.00 a week on gas- the VW gets right at 30 miles per gallon.

Eric drives 70 miles each way for work but only has to drive it about twice a week. With the "extra around town driving he has" I would estimate 20 more miles per week for a total of 300 a week. His Charger is supposed to get the mid-grade gas and usually he gets it. He probably pays about 50.00 per week also with the higher cost of mid-grade and his car doesn't get a good of gas mileage.

We are spending roughly 200 per month on gas alone. Add the car insurance and upkeep- we are spending more than 1/4 of my income just to leave the house! That still isn't near as bad as it is for the truckers who have to pay 200 or more PER tank of gas!

Gas at the cheapest stations around here is now $3.49.9, 20 cents increase in the last week. Thank goodness I only have to drive 50-60 miles each week to and from work. I incorporate grocery shopping trips with the commute, so save a little there..and DH doesn't like to ride with me (car is too low, and hard to get in and out of for him) so when we go anywhere together I get to climb in and out of his truck. His gas, his choice.
