Patti, I'm not sad about it. Great voice, but I never thought this person ever really had much appeal. It's just that at least one deserved to go before this one. Seems awfully unfair when taking performance into consideration.

I think the younger kids are who do the majority of calling in...They don't care if a person can sing....they are just "in LOVE"....lol

I think most of the last few will get some sort of contracts....

Look how many they showed tonight that are staring in something...and were runner ups.

They are getting a lot of exposure and I'm sure there are a lot of talent scouts out there watching.

I was a litte disppointed.....should have been Syesha! How is she still there???? Jason should have been gone by now too. It will be between the two David's in the end.

I've always maintained that Carly was the most technically correct singer, but she just didn't seem (to me) to put any of herself into a song. No emotion of any kind. I'm so glad to see her gone!

My personal opinion is that of the remaining Idol hopefuls, Brooke has improved the most from the start of the show. Before Kristy Lee left, I would have said she was the most improved.

Altho I like Jason and Brooke the most, I don't think either one have the vocal range to meet my personal definition of what an American Idol should be.

I'm bummed! I really liked Carly......and wish it had been Seyesha. They did say on the news afterward that Carly will do very well still, sounds like something in the works for her already. It was Simon's girlfriend, Terry who was reporting it. I hope to hear more from her someday. I love Neil Diamond...next week should be great!

Well I have never been a big fan of Carly but I thought that there were at least two that should have gone first.

I really think that she made a mistake with that song. Personally, I love the opera it's from, but there are still a lot of people who are offended by that show, it's message--I believe she had to have lost some votes through that choice. She is a good singer, but so many are just turned off by the fact that she just doesn't seem to involve herself with the songs. You sort of feel you should like her because of her talent, but you just can't get emotionally involved with her.

On the other hand, Brooke is just so darned endearing, and engaging, that you're more willing to overlook her flaws.

Syesha definitely deserved to stay another week after the great job she did this week.

Both David's did fine, of course, but while I loved David A in the beginning, he's really losing his appeal for me, for some reason. He's just becoming annoying.

And, of course, while cute--and he can sing certain songs well--Jason is the one who's become the most annoying of all. Did you catch the shot of him backstage yawning as if he was bored and just waiting for it all to be over, when he was waiting for his turn to come out and see if he was safe or not? I guess the thing with him is that he's just silly so much of the time, that it comes off as very disrespectful of the opportunity he's been given.

Overall, I knew it had to happen eventually, but I thought she'd be there a bit longer.

I think Jason smokes what his parents smoked when they advised him to keep that hair like that LOL! He's so silly and shrugs like he doesn't care at all!

I also believe it may be the battle of the Davids, but I still miss Michael Johns.

Yep, Azzalea. Saw him yawn and thought that pretty much indicative of his performance Tuesday. He doesn't want to be voted off but doesn't act like he wants to win either. Strange, that kid.

Well I'm bummed, I like her. She'll be fine though. They will get a lot of exposure while on tour. I was getting a little tired of that monster tattoo though, I like when she covers it up.
I can't stand Brooke. I don't mind her singing most of the time. She is talented, but I'm so sick of her pouty, just about to cry, face. It makes me crazy. Stand up and show some confidence! Ugh

Its between the Davids...Im tired of Brooks pouty boo hoo face too,,,she doesnt look like Idol material,,,she should try out for soaps.I like Carly,if I overlook the tattoos...but I didnt like her song(I am one of those offended by that), still a great voice though. Its hard to pick between the two Davids,,but that little fella sure has a voice. It just doesnt match up with how he looks,LOL! I think they will all get contracts.Best wishes to them all.

I like Daid Cook, but I would rather him end up like Chris Daughtry, and not be so tied to the AI thing.

I don't watch AI every week but I caught most of this week's performances and Carly's was the only one I could stand.

I'm not surprised though - she was married, with a big old sleeve tattoo. She was never going to get a big fan base and it is a popularity contest more than anything else. She wasn't going to get votes from teenage girls or teenage boys. The older, conservative voters weren't going to vote for her with all that ink showing every week.

Hopefully, she'll get another chance. Honestly, I'm enjoying the careers of the contestants who didn't make it to the finals (or sometimes even close) more than the winners. I love Phil Stacey's new song and surprisingly Kellie Pickler has put out some great stuff. Josh Gracin and Bucky Covington have put out some good material too.

The only winners I've enjoyed were Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. That's only 2 out of 6 winners.

I didn't mind Carly that much but wasn't her biggest fan. I'm also one of those who didn't care for the last song choice. I was so hoping for Jason to leave last night. Cannot stand him. David A. is kind of turning me off lately, too. I like his voice but watching him perform bothers me, between his mouth thing & the big lips, which I realize he can't help, and his poor interviewing skills. I know they should be judged on their singing ability & his is great, but I just can't picture him as an American Idol. It should be an interesting few weeks coming up. I'm anxious to see how they handle the Neil Diamond songs next week.

They can both sing but are limited to what they can sing. Both are folk singer types.

I don't know why so many people don't like Syesha. She has a great voice and was in her element this week. I think we will see her on Broadway.

Carly has a big voice and she did a great job this week. I don't understand the comments about her not showing emotion.

David A. has a great voice but he needs to lighten up with the song choices and sing something fast and fun. Simon loves to tell (usually the girls) a song is too "old" for them but he never tells David. As for his poor interviewing skill, give him a break, he is only 17. That is something that will come with age and experience.

David C. - WOW!! He blew me away this week. I knew he could sing (even though I sometimes don't like the version he picks). I just didn't know he could sing like that!

I was in a Nyquil induced stupor last night, trying to stay awake and see who got voted off. I was disappointed but missed 95% of the show. It was recorded on my DVR so I watched the show this afternoon. It was very surprising who went home. I thought for sure Brooke would be the one to go.

I think one reason I don't like Shyesha so much is she does have a very good voice but she sounds just like a million other singers. If she sang on the radio I wouldn't be able to say that was her.

I realize David A. is young, but he should be old enough to answer a question without all the hemming & hawing, unless he's just nervous, which is understandable.

I think it will come down to the two Davids also. I think younger David is a cutie, but he's not very well rounded in terms of singing. He sings great but all his songs sound the same to me. He lacks creativity, but he's young and has a long way to go. And also, when Ryan asks him questions, he seems like he has a hard time publicly speaking, he gets tongue tied in his words. But he'll do fine in the long run; he's had alot of exposure on AI.

I think David Cook will win, however, but I dont worry about him if he doesnt. I think he'll end up just like Chris Daughtry and be successful no matter what, and hopefully if he does win, he'll still be able to make the kind of album he wants to make with his own input and creativity.

Brooke...I agree, she is way too pouty. It's time for her to go.

I was hoping it would have been Jason who got voted off. All his songs sound the same. Too slow and boring. I couldn't imagine him singing any songs if they have Disco night. And those dreadlocks.....ICK! It just looks like he hasn't washed them in 10 years. I like David Cook but he needs a haircut and shave.
