mortgage, deed, papers stolen

Not sure exactly where to post this...

To make a long story short, my home was recently broken into and all my mortgage documents, loan agreement, credit reports, preapproval letters, deed, and every piece of paper that's involved in the sale and purchase of a house were among things taken. The purchase and sale took place in 2004. I've spoken to my bank numerous times. The first loan officer said I should get a duplicate copy of my deed and that beyond the loss of personal financial information and my social #, the other papers aren't that important. On a follow up trip to the bank a different loan officer told me the exact opposite and advised me to secure copies of everything. I've tried unsuccessfully for four weeks to get copies from the bank, title agency and my realtor. I've been able to get a copy of the deed from the local recorder's office. Beyond that, do I keep up the tireless pursuit of these papers or give up?
