Adam's song was amazing! No high pitched screeching from him tonight. Yay.

I liked Matt's song. Allison was good. Gokey was good.

I whole heartedly agree that Adam was amazing! When Simon gives a contestant a standing ovation..... wow. Allison is my very close second favorite. I missed Danny's song, but my daughter tells me it wasn't that good. I'll have to AI website tomorrow to hear it. I think I might even download Adam's song. Such a haunting melody, I don't remember that song. Wonder who recorded it in the 80s?

I agree - thought that Adam and Allison were the best tonight. A bunch of them were really off their game, IMHO.

I thought Adam's singing was amazing, what I didn't like was the blue light on his face. His eyes are mesmerizing and not seeing his face took away from the performance.
I love Scott, he is a very talented person. When he sings it touches my soul.

Adam was awesome. I also liked Kris and Lil. Didn't like Matt at all. I wonder what the judges heard. Must not have been the same thing I heard. Gokey left me scratching my head. I'm still not sure how I felt about his song tonight.

I totally agree about Adam, he was amazing. I liked Danny and Allison too ... Kris was just ok for me. And I liked Lil better than the judges did. Scott was better than Matt for me, I didn't like his at all.

Oh, and Anoop really *is* like a yo-yo! LOL! This week he was very good.

The song was originally recorded by a British group "Tears for Fear" Adam made it sound SOOO much better. He's quite a performer. That was a haunting performance.

Darn. The only performance I missed was Adam's. I got a phone call. I just saw the playback and couldn't tell that much.

But, Allison and Matt were great!

Adam blew me away! Allison was a very close second. I always loved Lil, but tonight was not good for me. Even If Adam or Allison don't win, I am sure they will be making records very soon anyway. I love this show! Can't wait for tonight.

Adam was incredible--Not being into 80's music (back in those days, I was raising my daughter and listening to things like "It's not Easy Being Green"; "One of these things is not like the other"--LOL), I wasn't really familiar with the song he did--but I've decided I love it.

As to handing Adam the contract and closing down? Know that was asked tongue-in-cheek, but there's every possibility he won't win. He could have a bad week and lose ground. One of the others might step up and do something incredible. OR--and I really think this is a huge possibility... While the votes don't mean a lot, the show pretty much picks the person who is popular with the public, that they feel they can work with, they do use the votes as a guide to what the public is into--but I don't believe for a second that the public necessarily chooses the winner (and if you read the fast-scrolling disclaimers at the end of the show, it pretty much says they can override the public vote).

Here's the thing--it's possible that the kind of person who might like Adam WON'T vote for him. He's very different, and his fans may not WANT to see him win a mainstream reality show. With the 2 exceptions of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, some of the MOST successful Idol constants haven't been the big winners. The public knows that, and out of kindness to Adam, may choose NOT to vote him into a box that could potentially be a bad fit for him. And if his votes are low enough, the show won't consider him as the next AI.

Personally, I think he'll have a much, much better career if he doesn't win. And they are really invested in Danny G, at this point--I get the feeling he's the one they really plan on winning.

When Randy compard Allison to Kelly Clarkson I agreed 100%. That girl can sing!!!! She is getting all my votes.

I just can't get into the guys this season.

The song was "Mad World" by Tear for Fears. We listened to both versions this morning and Adams was much better. He slowed it down. I loved the way the stage was lit during his performance.

Hey, I had one of their albums years ago (Tears for Fears), wonder if I still do? Did they sing Driver's Seat?

I just checked and don't think I have it anymore. I vaguely remember listening to it and think I only liked one song on that whole album. Now I'm curious and have to go look for it.

Well, so much for my memory. Wrong group. It was "Sniff and the Tears" who's album I had. I was close, though. LOL.

That guy is amazing (Adam). It's even a pleasure to watch him perform.

Like everyone, I loved Adam's performance last night. Danny and Matt were my next favorites....then Allison. I think Lil or Scott will be going home tonight. I don't think they will save Scott but not sure if they would save Lil.

I was mesmerized by Adam's performance last night -- I loved that song back in the 80's, and he did such a wonderful take on it. I had the song going thru my head all day today. I loved the lighting, in that the focus was on his singing, not body movements -- got lots of that in his rendition of "Black & White" a few weeks back, which was sensational, just in a completely different way. Do I sound like an Adam groupie? LOL

Allison was good with her song, but she needs a few more years (and life experience) to get just the right emotional touch for this song, one of my all time Bonnie Raitt favorites.

Here in Kalamazoo, as can be expected, there's a furor over Matt. I don't feel he is the best singer on A.I. so I am not that supportive of him. If he was as good as Adam, yeah I'd be real supportive.
IMHO Adam is by far the best performer on AI this year.
