It is very, very tightly controlled right now, and only a small number of commercial growers in California are allowed to grow the Dekopon. If she has one, it's not a Dekopon. If she grafted it, she did so illegally. So, beware of that. The only possible way she could have a true Dekopon, would to have had this tree or budwood transported over from Japan before all the citrus restrictions were placed on imported citrus. Not even sure this variety has been around that long, even in Japan. And, we all know what happened here in Calif. with illegally procured budwood. UC Riverside is trying to procure Dekopon budwood themselves, from other sources, but have not been able to do so, yet. So, this also casts significant doubt about what variety this tree really is in my mind. Patty S.

I want to taste them all - the closest I've ever knowingly got to actually tasting an heirloom tomato was an UglyRipe from Stop and Shop! So I'm going crazy. I have already booked a guy to help me dig an entirely new bed in April which will expand me from 8 plants to 20, but that's really all I can do. Got them at Target as well as the napkins,tablerunner,purple skulls, and little black metal skeleton. The black and orange haunted house plates came from Michaels. DD, I never saw Psycho. Too chicken for scary movies! Luvs, the spiderweb plates came from Walmart,but the black cat is just a cut out shape from a package I bought. I liked it and laid it in the plate for some contrast decoration. Sorry. But I love your black cat. Judith, I can't wait to see the tree you create with all of that silver.
