Way, way cool! You're Thrifty Stores are much cheaper than the ones around here. You hardly spent any money and got such great things. My favs are:
Blue plaid plates
Blue edged Christmas plates
Acorn and nest candle holder.

Poor Scrat..I mean Luvs...is going to go into serious envy mode on that acorn birdnest thingy. Heck, so did I. Its fantastic. And the price. Wow.
Next to it, the holly Christmas plates are my favorite. Tho that blue plaid plate is sure appealing.
The prices you paid for this stuff is just mind boggling.

I stopped at GW today and spent $10, and thought I got some bargains. HA. You DA QUEEN!!

I have found (around here, anyway) GW is the most expensive...even more than new prices on some of their stuff.

Church-sponsored TS have the better prices.
(One of the church sponsored is the '48' place.)

I only go to estate sales the last hour or so...they are ready to get rid of the stuff.
Normally, when the estate sale is being held by some type of auction house, they get paid a percentage of what is sold.

The last one I went to had quite a bit of silver left.
Added up, the price was over $250.
I asked the guy if they would take $15 for it.
He said, "Give me $20 and you can have all of it."
YYIIIPPPPEEE!!!!

The best of all is the TS that sponsors the shelter for batter women and children.
Their clothes are a standard price per piece but the other stuff is not priced.
The same lady is there all the time.
You just pile up what you want on the counter and she gives you a price.
The more you go (to buy and/or donate), the better price she gives.
I sometimes feel guilty walking out.
I've even given her more than what she tells me on several ocassions.

OMG... You found so many GREAT things and the prices you paid are amazing. I'd list my favs, but they all are! My sister would love that snowman platter.

I went to the TS today and only found a couple of cheap clear glass bud vases for a buck each, so it wasn't lucky for me today.

I was laughing at the $.48 items..maybe the person who priced 'those items'..could ONLY count to 48!!

It's such fun going to these sales and never knowing what you're going to find...and your finds are fabulous.

Wanda, I am so impressed with the big haul you made. Everything is so great and I can hardly wait to see how you display all of it. I can't imagine getting all that for such a great price. I keep looking and looking and just love it all.

Luvs, I know you are going to flip when you see these acorns. I have fallen for acorns to THANKS to you and just love Wanda's find. BTW are they all metal?

Scrat here--and you all know I'm "green with envy" over that acorn/nest find! And what a price! That would have been like $8.99 at our thrifts out here! Seriously though, it's a wonderful find, and I know you will have fun coming up with ways to use it.

You really founds some neat things, love the cute little snowman plate and the gingerbread house--and the blue plaid plates--well, gosh, just all of it. Isn't it just so fun to find such fun stuff at such fantastic prices? I know you had lots of fun on this "treasure shopping" trip.

You did hit the JACKPOT, WRH! Fun finds! My fav is the $1.39 acorn/leaf "rustic"...but those blue fish plates called to me also! I have some blue/ocean fish type ones in the camper & love them...yours would have come home with me! TFS your fun day! Jeanne S.

Well you sure did better than I did - so many pretty things. The 48¢ finds are amazing - I saw those same apple shaped plates on Tuesday but they were $1 each at the thrift shop I went to. I almost bot them and certainly would have at your price.

The rabbit pitcher is adorable and you can just put a small water glass inside for flowers. Won't show and it will hold the water. I do that even with vases without cracks as the water glasses can be washed in the DW and often the decorative vases can't be. That acorn bird nest candle holder is an amazing find.
