I'm an early bird amy, so don't like to sleep late, but 4 am is ridiculous. I went in to the family room about 7 to see if there were any good movies on and promptly dozed off. I just woke up again, ack!!! Now I'm going to be floopy all day ;) I'm going to get moving and head outside. The end of the season here is looming, in two days our night temps will drop into the 20's and highs in 40's during the day. :/ I've already prepped the pond for winter and cleared the vegetable garden, but am about to yank out my remaining annuals. It's going to kill me. Doing it today because I can't bear the thought of doing it in cold temps and possible snow coming. I feel so lucky to be in Z5 and still have roses, herbs (my Lemon Verbena and Pineapple Sage are huge) and annuals blooming in Nov., an extra month of my passion !! ;D

It seems like this show seem to fill up so much time with filler more and more each season, Just get to the dang dancing! Another gripe I have is the choice of music they sometimes pick for dances. I can't think of one example this early, but when it is a Latin style dance, play Latin style and beat music. One season they even had people trying to dance to (C)rap. I thought Bristol looked clumsy and awkward last night, although I agree with Lily 316, she will probably be kept in by her mothers fans, I do think if the "stars" were kept around or sent home strictly for their abilities, she would be sent home tonight, but I don't expect it...yet.

The full story: Decades ago we went to Hawaii and I, against all better advice, took home a piece of lava off the Big Island which was said to anger Pele and she would bring on all kinds of evil. When I got home, one after the other, bad things were befalling members of my family...broken leg, surgery, etc. So then I started saying "Pele Pele rabbit rabbit" as a way to keep her happy, and it generally seemed to work. Now, DH has been in the hospital several days and finally came home on 10/31. So I told him to be sure to say rabbit rabbit. He says he did before he started moaning in pain. I, having had only about 4 hours sleep over the last 3 days managed to say "Rabbit rabbit" then remembered Pele and said "Pele Pele" after that, so she wasn't first on the list. Uh Oh. Well, last night she got me back. Last night, I had a glass of wine (I'm not supposed to be drinking because of my health issues) and managed to fall asleep on the couch. Woke up about 9:30 and went to bed and went right back to sleep. Then at midnight, I wake up to this high-pitched alarm. I run to DH thinking it's his cpap and he's stopped breathing! I get in his room and he's up saying, "What the h@ll is that!" I check the alarm system and it's the waterbug under the refrigerator. I try to stop the alarm and sort of manage. So then the two of us are in the kitchen trying to look under the fridge to see if anything is wet. We then struggle to figure out how to move the darn thing...pry bars and wood and such. The alarm co. calls us to tell us we have an alarm (thank you so much). We finally move the fridge out (Oy! The dust!) I'm digging around back there and the water bug is completely dry! The alarm went off for no reason! I'm reading the alarm manual and somehow figure out how to do a bypass for the unit on the system and I think I finally managed. Finally, back to bed. After a few hours, I was finally able to get to sleep again. Hooray! We'll call the alarm people today and have them fix it. As I'm cleaning up the dust behind the fridge at 5:30 this a.m. it dawns on me: Pele was punishing me for not putting her first! Yes, I hear you Pele!
