Gotcha. The meeting went well. The handouts could have been much better for people to take with them, otherwise I think there were many good questions asked and answered very well...mostly by Steve Barnes at Pentair who is on many of the councils and committees for the writing of the recent codes. There seems to be a fine line as to what a "remodel" is and when the main drains need to be changed. For instance, a drain with an acid wash shouldnt really constitute a remodel, but what if you replace the tile but leave the interior. No one could really come out and say when exactly the main drains or any point of suction needs to be brought up to code. Kinda of a grey area... we dont do a lot of remodels, and when we do they are so extensive we always split the drains and bring it all up to code, but its still good to know. I'll be at Atlantis Sept27th -Oct 4th with the wife and some friends. when is the trip? It is atlantis right?

I love the texture (we went with Pebble Sheen) I do not think I would like Pebble Tec..I have pretty sensitive feet and push off the walls a lot. I thought we would have to wear pool shoes but my kids who really walk a lot more in the pool than I do (I swim laps mostly) have had no problem. I actually like the gray look..we live on a farm and to me it looks more like natural stone color....I had wanted to go with the Irish Mist, but they told me it may be too farmy for my liking..too green :) The cat licking the step was as it was filling up...hope these help!

Update: Holes in the spa are looking much better. Service guy came out today and worked on them again. I think the end result when finished will be great. My concern would be will the fix chip off later since it is not the original finish. Steps are so much better. First, because I started buffing them MYSELF today with the buffing pad they left my husband the first day my pool was supposed to be "buffed" as advertised. Anyway, the installer came out today and started "buffing" them more...they needed it. There is a huge difference between a buffed area and a non-buffed area in your pool even if the installer of PT tries to tell you it is smooth enough. The steps are a slightly different color because they were redone. The only thing that I am not sure how to fix is the deep end....the finish there looked amazing the first time. After they drained the pool to redo the steps, and the pool is now filled up and balanced, the deep end looks splotchy. I repeatedly raised concerns about them leaving crappy, non-chemically balanced, stagnant water sitting in the deep end and in the spa in the hot sun for 2 days while they worked to correct the steps. I was told not to worry...well now I am very worried. We were told today to let the pool cure....I don't buy that BS....the deep end looked perfect after the initial fill and through 3 days of meticulously brushing and keeping the chems balanced. They let the spa sit stagnant and partially drained my pool. All kinds of crap was sitting in that nasty water.

Hi! They come on FRIDAY to install our pebble tec and we have yet to decide the color for sure! Agonizing decision, I must say! I really think slate blue is exactly the balance between blue without being too blue that we are looking for (have seen ALOT of pools, but can't find anything that lies somewhere between almost completely white and a little too much color for my taste). BUT, we can't find pictures of it anywhere except the PT website, which only has a couple. I tried to click your link above but could not get any pictures to come up. Is there any way you could repost or email me a link? Thanks so much for your help. We are really hesitant to choose it without seeing it a little more.
