Oh, my gosh, it should be what didn't you do today. LOL

baby proofed some areas, vacuumed, took a couple of wall fixture lights off, bought a couple mounts/hooks for ladders, mounted them and put the long bicycle (triplett) up, dog sitting right now, shopped at goodwill, watered transplants, and transplanted a couple more plants, did my hand washables and they are on the line now...

the list goes on.

better get back to it, got more to accomplish. ;)

Played bridge....came in second. I must be slipping.

Spent the most of the day in Bellingham with my two best friends. We left at 8 amd just got home about 30 minutes ago. A BIG trip for us off the Island! Lots of shopping, great burgers for lunch and the fabric stores on the way home.
Just to be nice we bought our DH's mexican food to go for their dinners (at the best mexican cafe north of the border!) Now it is diet coke time!

It's Monday...spent the day at the Spa getting nails done, brows waxed and massage.

Meant to stop at Joanne's, but was running late.

Grilled a couple of steaks for dinner and made sauteed mushrooms and onions in red wine, herbed green beans and strawberry/blueberry shortcake for dessert.

I went to work (uptown) and then I came home for lunch. Then I went back to work, then I went home to pick up my dog to take to the vet (one block from where I work). Then I came home while they ran tests, then I went back to pick her up and then I came home again.

I have been at work since 6:30 this morning. I ran my two little dogs to the groomers at 8:00 and will pick them up at 4:00. I have about a half an hour before I can pick them up then we will head home.
It's been a long day!
I still have no idea what I am fixing for dinner. I feel like I have done nothing but snack today. Yuck!

To start the day off I twisted my foot and fell. It's sore and I'm limping but I'm okay.
I drove to San Antonio for an appointment with my oncologist. I'll be starting back on chemo next Monday.
I have a book club meeting this evening and then I'll come home to watch tv.

First I turned off my alarm so got up just 15 mins.
before my grandsons got here.
Not a good start to the day & then the youngest Sam
wasn't feeling good so was clingy all day.
After a nap & lunch we went to the park &
made a sand castle. Went down the slide at least
15 times, will be sore tomorrow.

Sam bit me on the arm & had a baby time-out
& laughed the whole time (1 1/2 minutes)
he was sitting in the corner.
Never thought I would be doing this stuff at my age :)

I finally got started on making a baby quilt that I should have made a couple of months ago. If is for a baby boy who is about 6 weeks old now. I will post a picture after I finish it this week.

I spent the day cleaning house and getting things ready to pack for our trip to Charleston for my nephew's wedding on Friday. We're going to a family reunion in Harry's hometown in Georgia on Saturday so it will be a busy but fun weekend, if I can live through it. I didn't sleep well last night and had way too much to do before my DSis comes on Wednesday. I wasn't good about making a master list and, boy, I'm feeling it. My head is going in 50 directions! We're leaving early Thursday morning and having dinner at the Hominy Grill that night with another sister and her husband, plus whatever family members may be there Thursday.

For now the house is clean and I've threatened Harry within an inch of his life if it doesn't stay that way for two days :-) He'll be gone tomorrow morning taking the car in for an oil change and a good cleaning so I can finish up here without so many interruptions. (Can you tell I'm a little miffed this evening?)

Got up early and took a shower. Visited with the cats for a bit (was away for the weekend and they let me know they were happy I was finally home--LOL)

Headed to the nursing home to spend the morning with my Aunt. Then, it stopped raining for a few minutes as I was coming home, so stopped at the furniture store to return the dresser mirror they damaged when the delivered it, and pick up the replacement.

Had lunch when I got home, then called the engineer on the project going on in our neighborhood to see exactly why we were being asked for permission for them to do work on our property--turns out they will mainly be working next door, but we may have some collateral damage (the town is replacing all the water/sewer lines, the utility company is replacing the gas lines--it's a huge, dirty, messy project).

When DH got home, we headed out to meet DD for dinner. Came home from there and have been working on finishing up the quilt I'm making for a neighbor's new baby, and jotted down some ideas for some cooking classes some of DD's friends want me to give them this summer. And watched the Hockey game.

Made another batch of KT laundry detergent. Did 4 loads of laundry (even put away 3 loads!), Clipped coupons and filed them, straightened up, made a pork & cabbage stir fry, took DD to soccer practice for 2 hours (read a couple of magazines there), came home, ate, and walked Sparky.

I worked about twelve hours - got home around 9:30 pm.

Usual type morning.

I had a delightful afternoon. One of my Best Friends moved to another State several years ago to be near her children who had moved to that area. She and I had visited back and forth often over time, but neither of us drive long distances now. Her daughter's family has moved back here recently, and her Son in law happened to be making the trip and brought my friend here to visit with them for a week.

This afternoon her daughter had a tea for some of the old friends and we had a wonderful time remembering some of the good and fun times we had when we were all younger. Also lamenting those who have passed on over the years. Through happenstance, my friend's GD and my GD are friends.

Delicious tea, homemade pastries, and huge, actually good, sweet strawberries.

I knew pretty much where the daughter is living now, but missed a turn coming home and drove through a country side I hadn't been to before. Beautiful rolling hills, very few homes, maybe a farm or two, almost no traffic. It rained just a few minutes as I left her house, but it stopped and the sky was just beautiful. Such a quiet pleasant drive. Time to think back over the past and the friends and families we have and those we have lost. Children and grandchildren, grown, married and now having their own families.

I had had a much-too busy week last week, so this was perfect timing, and a perfect time to take a wrong turn.

I'm refreshed and reinvigorated now.

Woke up the first time and had to take Lauren to school since she missed the bus. Went back to sleep when I got home. After I got up the second time I fed me and the dogs, sat on the computer and watched tv some. Then I did some laundry and took Alex's tux back to the shop we rented it from. On my way home I bought myself a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. It was cool and rainy so it was so good.

Stopped by Sonic on the way home because I was craving a hot dog. Got home and have been making a photo album on Shutterfly from our trip to Germany last summer. I started one last year but never did buy it, just kept putting it off and when I finally got back to it, it was gone. Had to start all over again. Tried to make a couple smaller ones for the kids of our trip out West a few years ago, but the resolution of the pictures wasn't good enough. It was before I had a digital camera, had an old fashioned SLR Canon.

Doing one more load of laundry and then going to sleep.

I played golf at a country club, which is a rarity. I'm a public links type.

I had a long day Monday. I went to Temple where my niece was in Scott & White Hospital awaiting surgery for a brain tumor. After being in the prep room all day, surgeon came at 4 p.m. and said that the special surgical instrument he'd ordered did not arrive. Said the one the hospital had set up for him was too short since her tumor is so deep. Said it will be in today (Tuesday.) I just called and niece said dr. said surgery is scheduled for "anytime now." We will see! This is my niece who had a double mastectomy 2 yrs. ago. So please keep Barbara in your thoughts.

Mary Ann,sorry to hear that you have to under go chemo again!! How many sessions this time?? I'll continue to hold you up in prayer,and hope your foot feels btter as well.
