Nike's new video Tiger Wood's ad with his father speaking to him.

Nike has released a new Tiger Woods ad on the eve of the Masters, which will mark the dominant golfer's return to the sport following revelations of his sordid sex life. The commercial consists of black-and-white footage of Woods, accompanied a voice recording from his father, who died in 2006. Earl Woods can be heard saying:

Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. And did you learn anything.

i haven't seen the ad, but it sure seems appropriate to use his father's words.

I'm amazed that he'd sink so low as to use his deceased father in an ad in an attempt to redeem himself in the public's eyes and those of his sponsors. He is sinking to a new low. I think in this situation the best course is to just keep quiet and try to show by your example that you've learned a valuable lesson.

Dear MOCC: Those purple blooms are gorgeous! However, the hosta plant itself doesn't do anything for me. And the spot behind the Obligatory Bushes is not that wide. At one end of the bed behind the Obligatory bushes is a lovely dicentra I planted last year. Then there is about 18-22" of available space, something like that. I can put a teeny something in front of the clematis. Then the next bit of space is taken up by the transplanted Maui Buttercups from the plowed-under hosta garden. Ha-ha, the grass seed the "landscape workers" sowed has barely taken, there's just a large nekkid soil oval where once stood my lovely hosta garden under the tree. Uglee!! Then there's about 15" of space, then there's the 18" diameter pot with the mini hostas in it. That's the undeveloped space behind the Obligatory Bushes. I hope to put the Blue Jay right next to the 18" mini hosta pot so that at least a little of it might be seen from the front, and my handicapped neighbor can enjoy it from her wheelchair access ramp.

Unless something strange is going on with Shi-Un, it is not a climber. It just appears to be growing rather tall. It is on the south side of the tree so it is getting plenty of sun. The bottom part of the bush is in the picture, and the top of it sticking out at the lower level is taller than I am. Boulie's Dream only has a light fragrance to my nose. It does have a good supply of flowers when it blooms in flushes. It also wants to get quite tall.

marmoreus- the splayed leg structure looks stable for tipping purposes, but the single rail may not be comfortabe to your little ones because their feet have no place to rest once they are seated. As a 5'3" adult I can attest to the discomfort of crawling up on a stool only to find my legs swinging in the breeze. Not comfortable. My young grandchildren find my counter height bar stools (24" seat) to be very stable and easy to get on and off without assistance. The rail is 13" lower than the seat. This design seems to maintain an adult leg length between the seat and the rail in its 24" and 29" seat heights. Are your little ones tall enough to climb up to a 29" seat and sit supported without additional railing?

Thanks, Annie, for the information. I have a Tile America store about an hour away from me, so I will go check it out. The first photo makes the granite look deceivingly beige overall. The colors of the background (gold and greyish white or cream) seem to blend together a bit more in that photo than it does in real life when you are that close, though from a distance you can hardly see the gold at all, as you can tell from the second photos. The two photos do give you an idea of how different the counter looks in different lighting, as from different distances!IT is driving me crazy! You hit the "nail on the head" when you wrote, "We were working with the accent tile in her counter so it didn't need to be exact where as you are working with the main color of the granite so it has to pick up the mood more precisely." I know realize that it would have been far easier to find a light colored wall tile to contrast with a darker granite than try to blend with the overall color of a light colored granite. That is why I think a tile with some sublte variation, like your GF's (or even the rixi crema has a little bit of variation) might work.However, if the tile your GF used is more yellow than gold it won't work well. Ah well....I still would love to know the name of the tile if you can get it. Thanks.

Creepy. That's all I can say about it. Yuck.

We're watching the golf now. Wow, I love that course, stunning. But lousy weather today.
I hope Phil wins the Masters. I really like that guy.
I watch for the golf.....not for Tiger. We watch golf whether he's in it or not.

I think it's stupid. I don't think it was Tiger's or a Nikee idea. I think his handlers pushed for this ad to be aired.

Either he's learned his lesson or he hasn't. Father's voice from the grave isn't going to help. Especially since it sounds just like something his dad would have said while advising him about his golf game not his bedroom game. LOL But they are counting for naive people to buy the fatherly advice to son bit.

Either Tiger will learn to think with his head on top rather than the one below or he won't. He will probably be exposed to more golfing groupies than ever before after this whole fiasco. Now he presents a new "challenge" fame ho-hos everywhere.

People cash in on dead relatives all the time, but this sounds like it beats the Jacksons.

But so many people want to "forgive and forget" and "take the high road" and he'll cash in on it. All for someone who's sole lifetime accomplishment has been to hit a ball with a stick and then chase it. That's something to idolize, isn't it? Even my dog would have *me* throw the ball before he'd chase it!

I heard on the Today Show early this morning, that
his Dad wasn't even "talking" to him in the recording.

He was talking with Tiger's Mom. They were saying that
peope were "hearing" things that weren't even being said.

Don't know about the truth of that, though.

My granddaughter is rip roaring angry over it though. She said something that sounded like "Yeah right words from the mold. What a bunch of hoo-hoo! I can't believe those idiots are trying to snow us like this."as she stormed out the door on her phone. She came home with new shoes and tossed her nikes.

OK.....I LOVE Nike. BUT....."HATE" Woods for those he hurt....Elin? His children? YES, like father, like son! Same mold!!!!

I don't believe Woods is sorry......yes getting caught was the problem. I also hear the recording is not his father speaking to Tiger.

I refuse to buy Nike products. They are made overseas by cheap labor. Then Nike charges outrageous prices so they can pay TW his millions who doesn't give a rat's behind what kind of company he endorses as long as the money is there. Tiger Woods is a superb golfer, but a despicable human being.
