Does two servings of lemon cake count?

Been craving lemon lately, so I had two pieces.

I'm so full of lemon right now!

We had boneless chicken breasts that were dipped in a melted butter, dijon, worcestershire sauce and minced garlic, then rolled in seasoned breadcrumbs. Baked along with baked potatoes and sour cream, and corn.

It's one of our favourite ways to serve boneless breasts.

I've been wanting it to, Glenda. Have the lemons and lemon Jello to make it, but strawberry pie is calling my name, right now! Two pieces, huh???

Wow--a new easy way to bake chicken breasts. They sound delicious, Jasdip.

At the grocery store the other day, I noticed they had some beautiful, HUGE RED tomatoes. They were just gorgeous, and even though I know winter tomatoes are always a disappointment, I couldn't resist.

Made fried tomatoes and scrambled eggs for dinner (we always make our fried tomatoes with ripe ones, not green). The tomato slices were the size of cutlets. And were they DELICIOUS! I've never had such good tomatoes in winter--ever. Grabbed one to see where they had come from.... Would you believe? Canada! Oh, Canada--thanks so much!

It is cold and in the 30's here so we are having Chili soup, Quesadillas and cream puff dessert. Figure it won't be long before we are grilling again and wishing for cooler weather.

Fried ripe tomatoes sounds good.

Patti, give the breaded chicken breasts a try, they ARE good, nice and moist. I made the bread crumbs out of my homemade "brick" from the other day. :D

Baked Sausages, Italian salad, turnips and greens from my garden and I am going to heat up some leftover beans that were also from my garden and cornbread.

I was again gone all afternoon today. The girls and I ate at Cracker Barrel, nice meal. On the way home this evening rather late we stopped by Arby's and I got a Philly Roast beef sandwich. It was good too.

We had grilled cheeses and Lipton chicken noodle soup. I put estra egg noodles in it though to make it thicker.
Patti, my mother used to make the pinwheels you are talking about. She made the dough from scratch and then made cinnamon rolls out of them with butter and sugar and cinnamon in the inside. I dont know if she let them raise. She would roll the cinnamon rolls flat in cinnamon and sugar and put them on a greased cookie sheet and bake them. We called the krispies and they were so good.

We had Tamale Pie....one of our winter favorites...and since Mother nature thinks we still want winter....blah

it's one pound of browned ground beef cooked with chopped onions. Add one large can of diced tomatoes(don't drain) and one can of corn(drained). Put one package of taco seasoning in the mix. Stir all together. Put that in a 9x13 pan. Top it with corn bread mixture.
I used the recipe on the back of a box of Quaker Oats corn meal. I made one and a half recipe. Spoon it over the top and spread as best as you can.

Bake at 400 for 25 mins.

Serve with a green salad with with whatever you like mixed in it.

I got this recipe back in the early 70s.

Tamale pie sounds good, Patti. Easy, too. Harry would like it, for sure.

I'd love to have some of your turnips and greens, Ruthie. My mother used to cook the roots and throw the green tops away. LOL! Love greens.

Your dinner sounds so good, Staci. Do you have a quesadilla maker? Harry loves them, but I have a problem turning them over (and keeping the insides inside). Have you ever posted the cream puff dessert? Sounds decadent, so please share!

We are finally getting good tomatoes here, but not in the supermarket, Azzalea. Yesterday we stopped at a farmer's stand and I got 2 big red tomatoes, 3 ears of corn, 1 red pepper and 2 cucumbers for $4.89.

Bengardening, those pinwheels must've been a lot of work to make by hand. It reminded me of churros but it was large and coiled around and around. A little taste of heaven, believe me!
