Last day, the sign said, for chili at The Diplomat. So glad I went cause it was a chili kind of day here. Warmup on its way, yea!

Still dark and dreary and headed home and turned the heater on to warm my feet.

Rained all day here in TN so I decided to make a meatloaf, mashed potatoes & onion rings. For dessert I made a espresso cho. chip angel food cake. Tomorrow I have to go to Nashville to see the Orthopedic surgeon again. Had surgery in Dec but the knee is not doing good.

It was grocery day for me today, too. That really can zap you. I mark most of my non-spoilables with expiration date, so they're still sitting on the counter waiting for me to show up.

I got whole wheat mini-bagels, and they had roast beef lunchmeat on sale at the deli. So I had that along with a thick slice of onion. And finished up the last of my chicken rice soup.

Today was our last luncheon and movie date for the movie group since the golf season has started. Had Carnita's for lunch and will probably just have a salad with some roast chicken on top for dinner.

We saw Admissions with Paul Rudd and Tina Faye. We all liked it.

It's been a bit chill here too today. I'm having leftover Domino's Pizza.

I rarely order Pizza because they seemed to be salty for my taste. I recently found out Domino's new pizza menu. A couple of days ago, I ordered a Chicken and Bacon Carbonara and a Tossed Pacific Veggie Pizza (thin crust). To my surprise, both of these were quite good and not salty at all.

I have been gone again all day with the girls! We had lunch at Sirloin Stockade and it was really good. Alyssa gets her meal free there and the drink. Then after shopping here and there we came back to Amber and Alyssa's. We stayed there for sometime. I never went in the house but sat out in the yard watching the girls do things. It has been a beautiful day here. I am not sure how hot it got but know it was up near 60 and sunny out. My supper was just some warmed up Sloppy Joe and a pint of milk.

Mary, a cool, rainy day is perfect for meatloaf. Hope you have enough left over for tomorrow--you sure won't feel like cooking after your doctor visit. Sure hope there is an easy fix to make you feel better.

Shirley, I got roast beef on sale, too. Also buffalo chicken lunch meat. Harry's daughter doesn't do gluten, but I thought she could make wraps with romaine. Whatever--I don't do breakfast or lunch---just dinner. (Well, I do make the coffee, but they know where everything else is.)

Georgysmom, it's nice your group stays together when the golf season ends by lunch and a movie. What fun to get together!! I think you have more fun than the law allows :-)

Ntt_hous, I have the same problem with pizza. Too salty. But both of those sound really good. We have a Domino's on about every corner it seems--except on our side of town :-(

Patti, we do have fun! Tomorrow night we're going to the club for Trivia night. It's a collection of divorced and single widowed and single and married but husbands that don't want to go so we get up a ladies only table. There are some good movies coming up that we thought we would like to see so on occasion we will go out to dinner and the movies or a late afternoon movie and then dinner during the golf season. It's a tough life but someone has to do it.

We had warm temps today and melted the snow that we got yesterday.

I realized that I had some leftovers that needed to be used up, so I reheated that and we had a salad.

We drove to Key West today, will be here two days then head north. We are staying at a military campground here. our site is on the beach and it is beautiful.

Tonight dinner was prime rib, mashed potatoes and beets. Going to have a piece of fruit cake for dessert.

I went to our garden club meeting then we all went to Dickies bbq for lunch. I am not very hungry so just hot dogs here tonight.

Sue, sounds like a really nice day. Glad the weather is getting warmer and you can get outside. I love the smell of spring in Indiana!

Jasdip, glad the snow is melting--spring can't be far behind. Isn't it fun to find leftovers than need to be eaten? It's almost like having recess at school!

tonight we had llama. My brother bought two of them really cheap. It tastes like beef but it is a lot leaner. This was an arm roast so I had to cook it slow for a long time. Monday night we had llama sausage. They mixed some pork in with it. It was really good. My husband is a very finicky eater and he never even said anything about it. I am sure he thought it was beef.

LOL, bengardening! Your husband didn't know he was eating llama? That would be interesting to try. Good thing you're a good cook!
