Hi Shirley,
Today was a warmish day, rain was predicted but we didn't get any. It would make the snow melt a lot quicker, but it is slowly going.

I took a couple containers of chili from the freezer. Hubby likes chili with kidney beans, and I like Texas chili, with no beans, just hot, spicy hamburger and southwest flavours and spices.

A while ago I bought a large bag of converted rice for a crazy cheap price, and I finally got the chance to use it. Is it ever good, grains nicely separated. We like chili served over rice, with a dollop of yogurt or sour cream on top.

It all sounds good.. Lovely day here..just came in from the garden..almost have the strawberries weeded..I need to thin them too..but want to take some of the plants to the new house..still a month away for move in day. So I am leaving them.

I had pulled out chicken breasts to do one of my favorite grilled meals, but Kellan has a baseball game..so we'll do that tomorrow..

Tonight will be turkey chili with Frito Scoops.

My car headed for Goldlen Corral so that was it.

Love their country style catfish, if it is catfish.

And warm bread pudding with ice cream on top.

Napped the rest of afternoon cause I was pleasantly full.

Foot long Italian subs and potato salad from one of our subway shops.

Pizza !!! Very good !!!!!! : ) Frozen and ate at home !! Red Baron 4 cheese Pizza !!!!!

Jasdip: I make several different chili recipes. Most are with beans. If I eat Wolf's canned, I get it without. I'll have to try some over rice sometime.

Terri: You sound so excited about the move ... and just a month away. I sometimes use ground turkey in my chili.

Glenda: I've never eaten catfish. I would like to have a bite of your dessert.

Linda: Make mine roast beef on whole wheat please.

Pianolady: Red Baron is the brand I buy. I usually get the supreme.

Still on the road. Stopped at the Cracker Barrel. I had children salad platter. I asked about their biscuits and she brought me two even though it only came with DH's meal.

Today was a long one, grocery shopping with Amber, Alyssa and Cheryl and also to the feed store to get chick feed. Lunch was an Arby's fish sandwich. After we finally got home, Cheryl and I went to Terri's and took care of things there. I had a double cheeseburger and a root beer from McDonald's. Too tired to cook. Tomorrow is another busy and full day.

Ellendi: I like chicken salad a lot. And to get a bonus of biscuits.... good for you.

Sue: Grocery shopping really can take it out of you. Glad you got to go with your girls. I don't blame you for not wanting to cook. I like Arby's, and you can't beat McDs $1 plus menu.

The temperature was near 80 today! Spring has sprung, though we will probably still see a "Dogwood Winter " and a "Blackberry Winter ".

We grilled some nice bone in pork chops, nothing on them but salt and pepper. I swear, I liked them better that way than any of my yummy marinades. Made some mixed rice and grains with mushrooms, and steamed some green beans.

The store had rockfish on sale for $0.99 / lb, so I made broiled rockfish, with steamed asparagus, and leftover lemon basmati rice. They said they bought too much, and were trying to sell the rest of it quickly.

Rhizo, that's how I like chops too, s&p pan seared finished in the oven or grilled.

Fudge icing...I think I need to make Texas Sheet Cake..easy and gives me the "feel" of fudge frosting..Although I eat way to much of it!

Shirley, we are actually looking at moving up the closing. :) the house is growing on me more and more as we share with folks. And with more time I spend in it. Today really hit in just how much more space it has than what we live in.

We had petite sirlions, salad, grilled zuchinni, and baked potatoes. It was all good especially the salad and the steak.
