What's for dinner Saturday?

It's cubed steak with gravy, steamed broccoli and applesauce for dinner tonight. Took a "little" nap at 4 and just woke up. Ick!

So full from snacking on leftover sweets from Easter, but I did eat at Jason's Deli: scoop of tuna with wheat crackers and their nuts

My naptime is at 5 :o)

Rhizo, you eat pretty healthy most of the time and, besides, that hot dog sounds mighty good! Enjoy!! Shirley, you described your weather so well I got chilly :-) But your dinner would warm anyone's tummy. Rob333, your dinner sounds delicious. I tried frying veggies in tempura batter once and the batter all fell off. I don't know if my grease wasn't hot enough or batter too thin. Just remember being sad I didn't get my tempura broccoli!! Your son will be full of adventure stories to tell you and--I don't think kids ever get tired of the snow. Glenda, you'll be cruisin' before you know it. Sorry you didn't get the dinner you wanted, but LJS isn't a sorry second. Terri, it's so unusual to read that you're having leftovers. I wouldn't think you'd have any with all those big, hungry boys around. Glad for you that you did, though. Momma deserves a night off!

Rhizo, hope you're finished in time for the movie. Those kabobs sure sound yummy! YogaLady, does that mean we won't see your sweet self for a few days? If so, have a wonderful time but if you'll have access I look forward to hearing about your trip--or you can tell us when you get home. Have a wonderful time. Clubm, everything sounds delish! We just love spinach, but have to watch how much, since Harry takes Coumiden. I see you've been at the Garden Web for a while. Do you post much? I sure hope you plan to in the future!! Well now, Shirley. That sounds like a plan. Wonder where Glenda will lead us tomorrow? I just love cyber-dreams :-) Pam, I sure hope your sister has good news from the biopsies. No dinner tonight. We went to a birthday brunch, ate too much, and have been dragging around all day. Neither one of us are used to eating heavily at 10:30 in the morning. Left there and went to Costco since we were close, Fred Meyer (there isn't one here locally) then home and had company for a while. Brunch was at a casino. The food is good, I had bacon and tomato omelet, more. And I did gamble a little before we left. I had almost lost my $20, won it back so played some more (slots) and that time I did lose it. DH lost his $5 on a penny machine and quit :) We're not gamblers, and I must say, its a lot more fun when I can break even or win a little. My SIL had begun with $200 and was up to almost $700 in winnings when we left, she has more disposable income than I feel I do.

Don't you be coming down with a cold, or worse Patti! Nice and warm again today. It's probably the last before it turns cold again. (11C= 52F). Hung the laundry outside and hubby and I bought the curtain rod that I needed so we can hang some drapes. The apartment is outfitted with vertical blinds and I bought some burgundy panels that were on clearance, as I like the softness of curtains. We had to buy a 144" rod so we put that up today. Looks real nice and homey. I'll post a pic tomorrow or so. Made bran muffins today as well. Dinner was chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and a salad. The chicken breast was huge, and we pigged out. Man it was good.

I had black beans and rice. Not too hungry but that means I'll be hungry later on tonight when it's not a good idea to eat.

Water problems are now about 95% resolved so it's back to cooking instead of mostly frozen entrees, eating on real plates instead of paper as I can now wash dishes.

Tonight was meatloaf, baked potato (inc the skins), and creamed corn.

I have been working and cooking most of the day, so did not feel like much for my supper. Just cottage cheese and sliced peaches. No nap for me today. I could go to bed now.

We are having meatloaf too. I am making mashed potatoes and green beans to go with it.

It's a quiet day here. Mike decided to go to the movies so he won't be home for another half hour.

We went to Willies and I had the fried shrimp with onion rings and slaw it was fabulous but I had to give hubby several of the giant shrimp, man they were biguns!!
