Made a big batch of spag sauce today. For dinner it is spag & meat balls. Also made a carmelized upside down apple cake which my husband loves. patti43-I hope to make Sept but with working outside I don't know if that is possible. I am not worried about the operation just getting tired of surgeries. This will be my 5th year straight having surgery, this fall I had 3. It has got to get better sometime.

Glenda, it's about time you got some nice weather!! Seems you've had a lot of rain. Wish we'd get more. We're about 8" short of the norm for this year so far. I'd love some fried fish, but it isn't on Harry's "menu".

I threw a pizza in the oven, made a salad....that was my meal.

I'm a zombie today. They had to take my special needs sister by ambulance to emergency last night to determine what was wrong with her. It ended up being bronchitis. I didn't get much sleep....waiting for word, etc. Out of this though, my one niece has volunteered to go to the hospital to be her 'voice' if something like this would happen again. I'm so grateful.

I just had a tossed salad with some roast chicken on top. It actually was pretty good.

Had baked beans left over from last night. Added crab cakes and a broccoli/carrot steamed veggie side plus a tossed salad jazzad up with pickled beets and eggs left over from Easter. The meal was colorful.

had bought a whole pork loin at sam's (on sale) and cooked it today..did a low temp 325, for a couple of hours and it was so tender and moist...i now have 3 extra chunks for future dinners!

Shirley, you must've been so worried about your sister. Georgysmom is right, you are a good sister. Did she have to stay in the hospital or did they release her? Hope she's well soon.

Susanjf, I have a pork loin in the freezer. Think I'll try your slow cooking method. Did you put it on a rack? Any liquids?

It was up around 67 this afternoon, but breezy. This morning Cheryl and I delivered the four pies to the fire department for their annual fish fry. Visited a bit with Amber, Mike and Alyssa on our way home. After lunch I took a nap. When I got up I did a lot of mopping. My supper was some of the egg and cheese salad I made for tomorrow's church dinner. I will put it on Hawaiian rolls. I had mine on bread and a glass of milk. I am ready for bed, pretty tired.

We're going to grill some brats and I've got a big skillet of sweet onions and green peppers carmelizing. I'll make a mustard /horseradish sauce.

We're watching the Louisville game and can't start the coals until it's over. :-(

Rhizo, we watched the game, too. Couldn't tell who the heck was going to win until the buzzer rang!! Louisville surely missed their star tonight, but they got'er done!! Your brats sound worth waiting for!

We went sightseeing in Key West today. After riding he tour train we stopped and had a late lunch. I had fish and fries, Mike had clams and fries and we splt an order of conch fritters. It was all very good.

Tonight we cleaned out the leftovers in the fridge.

Moving day tomorrow, we are headed to Ft. Pierce for the night then on to Lake City to meet with JoAnn.

Patti: My sister was diagnosed (not treated) and released in the wee hours of Sat morning. I called a while ago. Nurse said she's a 'little' better. Thanks for asking.
