It's Supper Time on Thursday!

I am working on our supper, grilled steak, baked potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot mix and cole slaw. Iced tea also that has to be made. What are all of you having this beautiful evening?

I am going to make an omelette with steamed asparagus with a side salad and for dessert sliced strawberries with a piece of angelfood cake and some lite whipped cream.

I've been making various salads all day, Sue. The kids are all coming tomorrow to celebrate DH's 80th birthday. Made broccoli salad, cole slaw, potato salad, three bean salad, ambrosia and pea salad. Since being sick in May, I do not have too much stamina so I had to take many breaks. Tonight we had shrimp pasta salad with 3 bean salad and corn muffins. Still have to make a cake for tomorrow. Just taking a little another break. Glad you have your computer up and running.

I had left over Cobb salad from lunch today. We couldn't play golf today because of the weather so eight of us met for lunch. It was a friends birthday so I baked some carrot cake muffins and brought them for a treat. Nice to have leftovers ready for dinner tonight because I'm leaving shortly to go play Mexican train.

I baked a whole 6 lb. Hubbard squash about the size of a football after washing it and poking holes in it with a strong kitchen fork. Once it was tender, we cut it in half, scooped out the seeds and fibers, then scooped out the flesh. Reheated in the microwave. There's easily enough for tomorrow night with leftover pork loin roast, fresh green beans and applesauce.

It is going to be a very odd combination of leftovers. Pizza, a porkchop, shrimp stir fry and salad. There is just enough of everything for hubby and I to make a meal. I will be happy to use all of it up and get it out of the refrigerator.

When I left the doctors office today I picked up some fried chicken, corn on cob and jalapeÃ±o poppers. So that will be dinner.

We're having a roast beef hash with lots of mushrooms and potatoes stuffed into red bell peppers and baked with mushroom sauce.

Possibly an odd dish, but I had the peppers, a few slices of beef, and lots and lots of mushrooms to use up before shopping day tomorrow. Some meals just work out that way - plans changed earlier in the week, and the mushroom soup didn't happen.

We have dabs of this and dabs of that...have to be taken care of.

We have a storm system going through and it is wreaking havoc on my lung, so I am doing as little as possible! Laying with the laptop right now.

My MIL called us in a gift certificate to honey baked ham so I went over and got a ham, a smoked turkey breast, some Au=Gratin potato's and Broccoli Rice Cheese Casserole...I added some Mac and Cheese, Green Beans and Corn and baked some brownies...we feasted big time!!

Stopped on the way back from the casino and had supper or dinner as they call it here. Good food, no cooking, no cleaning up

We ate out--I had liver and onions, mashed potatoes and gravy and califlower/carrot/green bean mix. I wish they'd cook the vegetables at least half way done. Harry had prime rib, potato-cheese casserole and a large salad. Raspberry tea--it was good.
