What's for dinner Tuesday?

It sure is good to be home. Had a really fun time visiting. All of Harry's siblings (5 of them) were together, which is really rare for them. Lots of pictures, but I left my dratted camera at the motel. When she invited us for Easter, I assumed the dinner would be Sunday, but she has it the day before since she goes to church on Sunday mornings and evenings. Probably gained a lot of weight--don't have the nerve to check.

Glenda, thanks for holding down the fort. And have to tell you that your pineapple casserole was the hit of the day. None of them had tasted it before and everyone wants the recipe :-)

Tonight we're having Vandy's chopped smoked pork and their Brunswick stew. Vandy's is in S-boro and sometimes I get the biggest craving for it. It's the best BBQ I've ever had! So I bought two pounds and a quart of the stew to bring home. Yum!

Hope you've had a more productive day than I have had. Didn't do diddley squat! That 6-hour drive about did me in.

Glad the pineapple casserole was enjoyed. It's a famiy favorite here.

Bummer on leaving your camera in the motel. Hope you can get it back.

I did aqua zumba, and just now warming this ole body up. Rather chilly 52ish when I went but water was warm.

Golden Corral, what more can I say.

Kittiesmom, I'm glad you got home safely. Hope you don't have to work tomorrow. Enjoy the sloppy joes. They're always a good thing! Mary, are you in the path of that storm Glenda is talking about? It looks like it's going straight across GA and then head north, but maybe that's changed. No doctor today, just finished up business from Harry's death. That chicken sounds good, Raven. I need to put mushrooms on my grocery list. I bought a 2-1/2 qt. crockpot when they were on sale at Wal-Mart before T-giving. I could use it since my other is way too big.

We went to the club tonight to finish up our minimum since we leave for Florida on Saturday. DH had a half-price hamburger since it's half price night tonight and my friend and I had a small Caesar salad and an appetizer of risotto and wild mushrooms. Just a perfect size dinner. It was beautiful here todayÃ¢ÂÂ¦in the 70's. Played my first 18 holes of golf since November. Shot 103 which is not great but I didn't expect much since I haven't had a club in my hand since early November and I didn't even get over early enough to hit some balls. The putting wasn't so great either and that's the best part of my game. Just a taste of the good weather to come.

Sue, I've been hungry for smoked sausage since someone mentioned having it with cabbage a while back. Sure makes for a good, quick dinner. Laura, hope you enjoy your dinner. Glenda, stay warm--we're getting colder by the minute here! Gazania, wow! That's a lot of dinner! Jasdip, you get the clean frig medal! I'd freeze if I sleptwith the window opened even a crack :-( Seagrass, we can't wait to find out what you had for dinner!! Jean, my bathroom's about the size of a postage stamp so I couldn't pull anything like that off. I love the sound of your shower curtain! (Hate that taping!) Mary, you'll enjoy those flannel sheets tonight for sure. BLT's! Sigh!! Monica, you are so right about homemade bean soup. It's delicious. Sometimes I make big fluffy dumplings and pour the bean soup over the top. Yum! Matti, you still have a while to figure it out. Salad sounds good to me!

We ate out tonight......I had the chile relleno combo but with two servings of pinto beans and no rice. I have decided if I am ever on death row and get to pick a last meal, I will have Rancho Nipomo's chile relleno with pinto beans. They have the best salsas.......the owner grows his own chiles.

I had some exotic rice blend in my refrigerator. I warmed it up and topped with the beef/gravy I made today. Added steamed Normandy Blend vegetables and called my meal good enough.

Glenda, I saw the pictures you posted of your zumba class. Can't imagine getting out of the pool--brrr! I only left my camera at the motel when we went to his sister's gathering--it came home with us okay. Wish our Golden Corral was better. It's about the worst buffet I've ever eaten. Most of them are delicious. Love GC for breakfast!

Sue, I used to buy Crystal Light lemonade and it was good. They sure have expanded their flavors! How'd you like the apple?

Shirley, your dinner is making me drool. Man, does that sound good. I'd like that beef and gravy poured over a piece of white bread, too. Woohoo!!

Hi Patti, glad you had a good trip. I like the apple just fine. I have had this awhile, it was actually Walmart's brand. They also make a cranberry maybe it is cranapple, not sure, but I really liked it and the raspberry.

Ham and roasted sweet potato along with a salad....finished up with a chocolate egg!

Thanks, Sue. I like anything raspberry--I'll have to look for it.

Phyllis, I miss having leftovers. I don't have any ham and no chocolate eggs, either. Bummer! Enjoy!

we did chili dogs, with potato salad and slaw (wal mart) it's one of our once a month faves...and it makes enough for a lunch for dh...

I mostly read here but I wanted to tell Walnut Creek that I had the ham and potato soup that she posted on this week's recipe thread. It was
