Amazing they did the dig and rebar & steel today. Crews were here from 7:30 am to 8:45 pm. Looks great!

Sharon, Congrats on your new pool and thanks for picking us to be your builder. I could tell it's going to be a great pool just by looking at your layout paint on the grass.
My son is actually loading up here at the shop right now to go down to your place and preplumb for the gunite tomorrow.
Cross your fingers for some great weather, enjoy the ride, and hopefully we'll get you an awesome unit in a reasonable timeframe.
I look forward to some progress pic's during construction.

Kelly, I have been following your posts and I have complete confidence that you will do your best in serving your customers. There are a few people that I trust as I am very unexperienced in the pool business. I think that you have commented on one of my inquiries and I know that Scott and a couple others have looked at my pool build. Honesty is the best policy. Cheers......

Moving right along, Kelly's crew did plumbing yesterday. Grunite crew were here at 6:30 am this morning. Weather looks good for today :):)

Day 4, Gunite is completed. Looks awesome! Kelly's crew and his sub's have been great so far. Now time to start watering.

Things are moving fast. Kelly and his guys have been awesome! Plumbing was completed today and installation of pool equipment. Electrician will be here in the morning.

Still have trouble selecting a water tile color. Any suggestions?

Great progress!

A bit jealous as my build started on the same day as yours. Took two days as expected to dig... and they have done nothing else. Oh, wait, they came today and placed a pump to drain the excess water... heehaw!

Kelly, your getting to be like just-a-pb in that one of these days, you'll get it right ;-). Keep on keeping on. Only one mistake here and it's the same one just-a-pb made, wrong yard! It was supposed to be my yard! lol.

Your yard still looks so good. My yard looked liked a bomb went off during our build. We also used Kelly and were very pleased; get tons of compliments on the work he did.

Love the shape of your pool. You have now hit the slow part of the build while you are watering the gunite. Keep posting the progress pics.

You will have to scroll down a ways but she also had trouble selecting tile. Several people comment and post pictures. This might help you.

Good luck! Someone's advice to me was that you want to try and match the coping so that it blends well. Plus if you have color from your plaster or pebbletec you don't want to introduce too many things.

Our pool build is going great. Weather has really been perfect. Again we are so expressed with Kelly & his crew. Electrical was done on Tuesday, today rock crew started the flagstone coping.

At least we know where Kelly has been!

I can't believe your dig started May 20 and you are this far along...how awesome! Ours began May 1 (after months to get permits approved!) and we are about at the same stage as you are. I guess if I want to get things done, I need to move to TX! :) Looks great; congrats! ~Kelli

Kelli, we did not have to get any permits, only HOA approvable. Our subdivision is in the country. Things really moved fast the first week. Good luck with your pool. Sharon

Just over 2 weeks now, PB working on waterfall. It is looking great! We are very pleased with workmanship. A few new updated pic.

Thanks for the updated pics...please keep them coming - even after you've been swimming and your landscape is complete. We start our dig on Tuesday and it seems as though I never get tired of new ideas and information. Thanks again!

Your pool is looking great! Our dig starts on the 21st so we're in the final planning stages of selecting water line tile. I didn't think it would be so difficult! I love what you have chosen. Is your coping Oklahoma flagstone?

Yes our coping is Oklahoma flagstone. We could not make an decision on the water line tile. We had so many samples lined up along the pool wall, at first thought we might go with something that had some blue in it. We finally made the decision the day after the rock guys started the coping. The tile looks totally different against the coping. Our water line tile in Noble Tile, NMVS 662 Rust. We are really happy with the flow of the colors. Good luck with your pool build and make sure you post your progress.

Water fall and stone work is done. Stone guys were troopers today it was raining off and on all afternoon, they never missed a beat. Looks great! Decking next.

Rain, Rain Go Away... Yard needs to dry up some before we can start the decking..

Deck crew came yesterday. They started digging up the grass at 9:30, concrete was being poured at 2:00 pm, at 5:00 pm they were finished. They rocked! Updated pics

I can't believe how fast the build is coming along. It looks fantastic!! Our dig got pushed back another two weeks. I was so bummed! Our builder has to redig three pools due to rain last week. I think they have three crews/three pools going on right now. It makes me wonder just how long it will take for our pool to get finished. I was hoping Labor Day weekend, but is looking iffy.

We had our builder locate the rust tile. He found it in stock in Arizona. It will cost us 400 bucks for freight (we're in West Tennessee) but I'm thinking it will be worth the extra cost since I know it will look wonderful.

Can't wait to see the continuing progress of your build!

We were very lucky we only had a few days of rain in 3 weeks. We are so happy with our tile selection. Good luck your pool! I am posting new pics now. Sharon

Here is a updated to our pool. Day 24, plaster (blue granite) sprayed in. Day 26, plaster was cleaned and we started filling the pool with water. Next day we left on vacation. Came home early Sunday morning to a great pool filled with water and working waterfall. We did were able to swim on Fathers Day. Next step is having the new and existing deck sprayed. Few tweaks to work out with waterfall. Then I can start landscaping. Our PB has been wonderful to work with. We love our "Kelly" star on the tanning shelf.

New pics of the pool with the spray deck. For the most part the pool is done. We have a few little leaks on the waterfall to fix and pool school. Still need to finish landscaping behind the waterfall. Our family is really enjoying the pool and hubby and I are loving the spa.
It was been a great experience with our PB, I highly recommend him.

Congrats on your pool! It is beautiful. We're on week 4, having had rain two days this week, so it's slowing us down. Looking at your build helps, as we're using the same tile and coping. Thanks for continuing to post pics!
