We have 3 cats Smokey, Bandit and GT (Dusty) I told my DH that GT should have a real name not initials so I call him Dusty or Dust Bunny. I also call him Piglet since he is so fat. LOL

Smokey is the long hair gray and white, Bandit has a mask on his face and GT is the gray tabby. Bandit and GT are brothers and a little over a year old. Smokey just turned 4 in March.

I have five rescued cats..Lily(Tortie) about 9, Phoebe(Russian Blue)7,Nellie and Annie..(torties and mother and daughter) and big bad Henry, grey tiger who will be 3. They are all strictly indoor cats. Last summer I rescued a Boston Terrier/Sheltie from Petfinder. Ziggy , the wonder dog is 1 and the light of my life. Well, they all are. I love them to death.

I have 4 horses....Missy, Lonesome, Gypsy and Tue Lo.

A feral pig...Piggy Sue (and feed another feral pig that I call Sister...at least I think it is a female)

Three chickens...A white leghorn rooster named Sparky, a white leghorn hen named Brittney and a new bantam rooster that I haven't named yet.

A squirrel...doesn't really have a name but I sometimes call him Ass Hat.

Lots of possums...aren't pets...but three are non releasable ones...Celeste aka "Pretty Woman" and Tater and Gretchen...and a few others are named Seedy, Opal, and Oprah, and 40 other ones here right now for various reasons...orphans, injured and a couple of mothers with babies that came in hurt or skinny and are recuperating and raising their babies here.

And then there are the cats. Let's see if I can name them all....Bindi, PeeWeeter, Striped Stockings, Boots, Pam, Mary, JoJo, Wildchild, Dude, Buddha, Norman, Gizmo, James, Tommy, Evil Ears, Sonny, Mancow, Johnson, Elmo, Zorro, Snip, Beauty, Little Beauty, Cracker, Cloud, Pluto, and my newest cat....Smokey.

None are house cats. However, Mancow and Cloud sleep inside if they want to.

We have Mazy, 12 week old Goldendoodle and

and Dixie, 10 year old Golden.

You can't see her sweet face here, but this is my 14 year old Springer Spaniel named Millie. She is deaf and going blind, but her nose still works really well.

I have a Cockapoo named Bella and two cats, Chloe and her son Mr. Kitty. Bella is gold in color. Chloe is gray and white and Mr. Kitty is black and white. They are all very sweet pets.

I have a 5 yr old chocolate lab,named Drake.He had been severely abused and abandoned befor he came to live w/me.I have had him since he was 18 months old.He is the sweetest dog.He gets the newspaper every morning for me.

I have a Shih Tzu named Jasper. He's probably around 4-5yrs. old!

CeCe showed up on the night of June 21,2008 (not sure of his age..probably about 1yr. old) and as most of the folks here know..he has a pretty unique story.

I have two cats -- brother and sister -- named Bonnie & Clyde. First I was going to adopt just Clyde -- DH wanted to name him Zappa, I refused, but suggested Clyde after Clyde Drexler, one of DH's favorite basketball stars. Then I convinced DH to get Clyde's sister as well -- so her name was kind of by default, but it suits her.

Bonnie is the long-hair, Clyde the short-hair bullseye tabby. Both have a lot of Maine Coon -- she has the look, but he has the size (20 lbs, mainly big, not fat).

We have an 11 y o Black Lab named Leroy who stays in the house 23.5 hrs. a day! He doesn't know he's a dog. I've told the neighborhood children not to tell him. He thinks he's a little boy.

I have Henry, a nearly three year old Golden Retriever. His kennel name is Saltwater Tickle Cove. He is still all puppy and too silly to even talk about. He's a sweetie and I just love him to bits!

3 indoor rescue kitties & 1 Feral Stray I take care of

1) Tuxedo B&W Kitty....BLACKIE...God willing he'll be 20 in June!
2) Maine Coon......FREDDI....didn't know if she was a girl or boy so we named her Freddi the Freeloader....UNTIL one day one of her Kittens showed up following her one day with a little "mew". Couldn't keep Mama Kitty without the baby.
So.....
3) Maine Coon/Mix???.....PINECONE...because we found them both before Christmas a few years back & she would have blended right in with her coloring.

4) Feral/Stray Kitty....he just showed up one day & I HAD to feed him. I call him ASH WEDNESDAY, because it looks like he has a grey thumbprint on this forhead. I worry about him the most, because, I can't affort to take him in! He really needs to get his rabies shots, checked for any chance of Feline Leukemia etc. and he REALLY should be NEUTERED to prevent more kitten out there. I kind of suspect he was a "foreclosure kitty". He looked to be in pretty good shape when he first showed up, but he's gotten some bad scratches & eyes looked really red awhile back. I put a small doghouse filled with hay for him on our deck, so at least he gets cat food, scraps, & water. (I just CAN'T afford to take in another cat, but I'm afraid that if I call about him--they might want to put him down) ANY ADVISE ABOUT WHAT TO DO OR WHO TO CONTACT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

We have Roxie, a five year old black and tan short-haired dachshund, Petunia, a black and white tomcat and Fuzzy, a long haired female cat. They are all inside pets and important members of our family.

I have Loki, a black lab mix. He is 11 years old now and still acts like a pup. I adopted him from the pound when he was a puppy. My friend adopted Thor, Loki's brother at the same time.

I have Lucy, a little black and white cat. I think she is 9 years old. She loves going down the basement to "talk" because of the echo. She can be heard to say "oh my God" very clearly and my friends are always amazed when she does this. She just likes hearing the sound of her voice.

Then I have Chloe, a tortoise shell coloured cat who is about 14 years old. Well, she's not really my cat. She came for a spa week visit and liked it so much she never went home. Chloe was my Aunt's cat and when she sold the house and moved to Richmond Hill to an apartment my sister took the cat. My sister lived in an apartment and would send Chloe here for a week so she could get some exercise and look out the window. My sister actually pays me room and board for her cat to stay here. I think she has the better end of the deal. LOL Chloe is feeling a bit under the weather today and I hope she is her old self tomorrow.

Chloe and Lucy tolerate each other but they sure aren't friends. LOL Chloe has attached herself to Loki and is always rubbing up against his head.

I forgot one of my pets..In addition to the five cats and one dog, I have a pet squirrel named Buddy. I raised him last summer with a bottle, but left him live in the wild. It was a rough winter but he survived. He runs over to me every day with his arms outstretched. I give him organic walnuts. The other squirrels don't like him.

I have 2 greyhounds, Jack is a 7 yo fawn brindle and Jasmine (Jazzie) is a 3 yo red fawn female. and 2 rescue kitties, Barnaby is @ 10 yo grey and Jane is @ 14 yo tabby.

3 cats, rescued as one litter when they were about 3 weeks old. They are all tabby's but very different in colorings. They are 5 years old and strictly indoors only.

King - very appropriately named - he rules the roost! And demands kisses.
Lucky - My 3 legged sweetie! He charges the door to greet me when I come home - he is nicknamed Scooter.
Shadow - my quiet, reserved girl. A real softie.

One adopted outdoor kittie I feed. I think I am not the only one to take care of him, but he is yellow tabby I call Joey. Another lover.

She was homeless for some unknown reason about 12 years ago when she showed up at a friend's house.

I took her in and she has been my constant companion ever since. I think she was about 2 years old when I got her.

Here she is in her nap-box which she obviously had outgrown.

A 7 year old yellow Lab named Peaches, she is our heart - the sweetest, most loving doggie ever. She sleeps right by my side of the bed, I have to be careful when I wake and get up in the middle of the night - she sleeps like a stone and doesn't feel the need to move when I'm trying to get out of bed and climb over her.

I have loved reading about everyone else's hearts - and loved seeing the pictures. It doesn't surprise me that so many who love to garden also love to have pets.

I have one very spoiled chihuaha and her name is Rainy. I also have two outdoor cats and their names are Precious and Mischief.

I had to do a double take of Jennmonkeys Hank,he looks exactly like my Drake.Drake even has 2 of those exact ducks,which he loves.

I've shown them before, but KC and Sunny like to show off between snoozes. Great company. I've had KC about 4 years now and Sunny going on 2 years. Both had bad homes and are both about 7 years old. They do get along, but often try to convince me that it'd be better to be a "one cat" household.

I guess it's about time I jumped in with my furkids. I love looking at everyone's pets, and it's nice that there are so many animal-lovers on the KT.

And finally Smudge, another HS cat. He's got a lot of Maine Coon in him, and he's by far the oldest at 10. It's amazing how tolerant he is, when I bring a new "kid" home.

shellm, that duck lasted about 3 minutes before it was torn to shreds, LOL. Glad we got a picture first!

Our three are all rescue dogs. They are an important part of our family and we just wouldn't know what to do without them. We have Ginger (9 1/2 year old Pekinese mix), Tessa (4 year old Pekinese/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix), and Lexie (2 year old Tibetan Spaniel).

We have 1 dog, a rott/dobie mix who weighs 96 lbs. but is totally convinced he is a lap dog. And I have 4 cats, Chloe-a very pregnant maine coon, Carmella-Chloes daughter...when I went to adopt Chloe I couldn't resist Carmella's sweet little face..lol, Garfield-a huge, lazy orage and white tabby who truely lives up to his name and Big Kitty-a HUGE maine coon that someone gave me cuz they swore he was peeing in the house....hasn't had one accident since I brought him home, and he and Carmella are best friends...LOL

We've had "Choppy", our African Grey parrot for 32 years. Such a talker!!!

I so wish right now I could say we have a pet. My brother-in-law died last Wednesday night (too young, age 41) and we thought we would get his wild (but loving) lab, Dexter. Turns out BIL had a girlfriend, Dexter has been living with her, and now we might not get him. We are so sad. (Of course, you are getting the condensed version.)
