32,000 gallons SWG inground pool. Near Atlanta.

I got a quote over the phone, but they will come out and put it all in writing.

--20 gage Liner cost $2600. 10 yr warranty, but warrantly is prorated after the first two years.

--steps $3000 lifetime warranty

--each skimmer $400 ($800 total), warranty (I forget how long on those)

Returns and all fittings, main drain replacement included.

$6400 total.

Discount for paying by check or cash, down to $6000.

Pay $1000 up front, $4000 after about 2 weeks when steps are done, final $1000 after two more weeks when liner is done.

I have dealt with this company before, with other problems I've had with my pool. In the past, there were holes in the WOODEN wall (built in the 70's!!), behind the liner, which they had to patch with metal sheets. Also, they installed a SWG 2 yrs ago. Never had a problem with them, and I know they are honest and know what they are doing.

The steps are really horrible, they are bashed in from having a tree or something fall on them years ago (before I moved in), and they are cracking peeling all over.

I was going to bargain a little, maybe that that they throw in enough salt to start up the pool.

Also my skimmers are very old, one is cracked, the other looks ok. But do you think maybe I should just go ahead and replace them both?

$400 per skimmer seems like a lot.

How do all those prices look?!
