OT - Must be an allergy

I woke up this morning with my checks feverish, puffy & pink. Under my chin is itchy. I took 2 aspirin two hours ago and it doesn't feel as if it has changed anything so I just took some feudalisms. Cold water feels good but I can only splash my face so much. Grrr

That's a first. I thought typed sudafed. I even checked on the spelling. Have no idea how feudalism got in there.

more or less right, fungal growth prefers higher carbon/lower nitrogen materials, but as important is moisture level and air circulation - drier conditions discourage fungal growth, so if you keep the surface "fluffed" and on the dry side and the wetter food waste covered, you shouldn't find much mold happening Bill

Do you ever have a brief sense of clouding over or like there is a film in your eye or like you have an eyelash in your eye.Those are also symptoms of dry eyes. No, that doesn't happen to me. Again, I think that it is allergies, because I will be fine until I go outside, and the nursery experience really made me realize it was some sort of tree or shrub. It is quite obvious that I am having a reaction to something. Recently my DH and I were out to dinner, and dining in the restaurant's patio area and I experienced the same sypmtoms. I was fine when we left the house, but started tearing up when we sat down on the patio.

This may vary by region, but where I am if they want you to have drainage ditches, collection ponds, etc., it has to be reflected on your plot plan filed with the Registry of Deeds. For example, if I get my plot plan it doesn't show any detention ponds or ditches. If they want to put something on the land they retain owernship of (here they own about 4-12' in from the street, it's called "set back"), they can do that and maintain it, but I am only required to maintain what is on my property and is on the plan. They can't force me to add anything else at this point. Sorry, that's a bit long winded. Does it make sense? Do you have a copy of your plot plan? I would check that first. We have friends who built a house without checking theirs out and they were required to put a huge, ugly and dangerous detention pond right in their front yard. It was right there on the plan, which they should have looked at before they bought. Just because it is on THEIR map doesn't mean it's right. If it is on their map and not on the filed plot plan I would consult a real estate attorney.

I purchased one at BBB a few years ago that was an allergy covering and waterproof, but wasn't crinkly plastic. It's been great. Pillow covers are plentiful and easier to find a good one. You might want to get two sets for each bed. They should be washed frequently in hot water, every 1-2 weeks depending on where you read, and I find it hard most times to get everything washed and dried and back on the bed early because our cover and usually blankets need two dryer cycles (at least on the settings I use). I wouldn't recommend drying in the sun if any other allergies are present. Sun is great if you just hate mites, but outside drying is torturous for many allergy sufferers.

LOL! Glass I just typed in sudafed and checked the spell checker and feudalism is on the top as a suggested spelling! You must have clicked it by accident.

On the allergies, if you have any benadryl handy, it may help. But, please wait until the feudalism wears off! :)

It does sound like allergies. I hope it isn't something they used in the new house. Benadryl should help, and you can try the cream for the itch.

I have not been playing outside - that would be too easy. I've done the poison ivy thing twice in my yard.

I'm still swollen so I'll call my doctor today or go to urgent care (if the doctor's office will tell me where they are)

Saw my doctor today and she told me to use 1% cortisone ointment; gave me a sample of Clarinex - enough for 5 days and prescribed Azithromycin - 5 days. I was to use the ointment & Clarinex and wait 3 hours.

If there was no improvement I was to get the antibiotic. I did. Now I just have to wait and see. Gives me an excuse to look in the mirror often.

The antibiotic seems to have turned the tide. My face no longer looks like I have a strawberry birthmark and it doesn't itch as much. It does get bothersome if I'm in the sun or over the stove so I'm not cooking on the grill.
