Yes I am watching but have not voted, if I were to vote it would be for Joshua he is truly amazing and is from very near where I am from in Louisiana. When I was down there recently there were signs everywhere supporting him.

I also really like Phillip love his unique style and he is a very cute fella, very quite and laid back.
I was very surprised at the results last night but did expect the unexpected since they had warned of that when the show started. I knew they would save Jessica she is very talented.
The little gal Hollie that lives in McKinney, TX is good but I think she needs to mature some and come back next year.
To me Colton is ok not my style but a very good singer and musician, and Elise is also good, she has done some outstanding songs then some not so good she is hit and miss.
Her rendition of that Led Zeppelin song was amazing.

They are now at the point that good ones will have to go home as the best of the best stand out. I would love to see Joshua win it. I would buy his music today he sings the kind of stuff we grew up on down on the bayou LOL.
I used to go to dances where Percy Sledge was playing and when he did Percy's song When a man loves a woman I was happy happy, one of my all time fave songs.

I'm watching but not real impressed with any. I don't care for Elise at all. I also thought they should have let Jessica go. I guess my favorite would be Coltran and I'm not even real impressed with him! LOL!

I didn't start watching Idol until mid-season the year Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken were contestants (season two). DD thought Ruben was "the bomb", and asked me to take a look. I was hooked on the show from that moment, but it was Clay Aiken who thrilled me. I never missed an episode after that, but have been disappointed with how much "filler and fluff" gets added to the show each year. I just want to hear them sing. It's gotten so that I fast forward through most everything but the singing and this season I have found myself not even watching the results shows at all. I figure that when I watch the next show I'll see who is missing.

There was something about DeAndre Brackensick that I really liked. Sorry he's gone. None of the girls that are left thrill me - Jessica's probably my favorite girl. I like both Phillip and Colton, but even they don't thrill me as much as many of the guys from the past.

I'd have to say that my favorite contestants from all seasons are Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert - and neither of them won.

I like Jessica. I think she is by far the best singer. I also think she probably does not know how to interact with the other kids. Not sure why. Elise has a nice voice but I just can't like her. Holly is a sweet girl but does need to mature some. I don't really care for Joshua's singing, I guess it could be a sectional thing from Ravencajun's post. As for the other two boys, they aren't my favorites but they both seem like nice kids. I have never voting on Idol but may have to start voting for Jessica.

I loved how the judges ran on stage last night to save Jessica and the poor girl didn't know what was happening at first.

I was hooked on Idol last year, but this year for some reason rarely remember to turn it on. The few times I've seen it, I was rooting for Elise. But that really isn't fair, because I still haven't even seen one show all the way through, and I'm not familiar with all the singers.

I read a review this morning that said something like Jessica doesn't get the votes because she's putting her effort into showing off her vocal acrobatics for the judges (she does have impressive vocals) and not into entertaining the viewers.

Is Elise a teacher? I saw part of one show where two girls were invited up on stage after her performance. They had been tearful about how great she did, and I thought someone said they were her students.

I haven't watched it since Simon left, so the last 2 (?) seasons. I find the judges now a little boring - they seem to like everyone. Even when I can hear blatant, er, 'pitch', or just plain bad singing, they still tell the contestants they are fabulous.

If I had to pick someone who's music I would actually buy, it would be Colton. No one else's way of singing interests me, although, they are all very good singers and Phillip Phillips is just plain cute. I told Lauren last night that he has such pretty teeth and she agreed.

Jessica and Joshua are my top picks with Skylar in 3rd. Not a fan of Colton or Phillip. I'm having trouble liking Elise. I think Holly is an excellent singer and don't know why the judges don't like her.

I think all the top 10 will have recording contracts. This year and last have been the best. I really don't miss Simon and I love Stephen Tyler. Never thought I would say that.

Donna, I agree with you about Clay. Loved his voice.

I like all of the contestants in different ways. Terrific voices and good personalities.

I agree about too much fluff, but we also record shows and then fast forward to the performances.
