Who will be watching American Idol tonight?

Tonight is the start of the auditions. This isn't my favorite part of the show (I like it when they get to the finalists), but I'll watch anyhow. It'll be interesting to see how a fourth judge works.. what will they do if 2 say "Yes" and 2 say "No"?? OR maybe 1 judge will get each day off, so only 3 are doing the judging at this point?

I'm not crazy about the auditions either, Lydia, but will be watching tonight and every night! LOL! I've heard that this year's preliminary shows will not focus so much on the zanies, and more on the good people. I'm thankful for that. I think Idol encouraged the weird ones by showing so much of them on tv.

Yes, Ellen said today on her show that she is not part of the auditions b/c that took place before her acceptance. She will eventually be on once that narrow it down. It will be interesting to see who they find to replace Simon. I really like him and think he does a GREAT job on the show in terms of who really was good and not, and the constructive criticism he gives. He'll be a hard one to follow.

I LOVE Steven Tyler, agree he is a very nice man. I love his sense of humor he had me laughing several times last night.(also love his daughter Liv she is a doll) Jennifer is a sweetheart she really hates to say no to them. She is a beautiful lady. Randy looks good he does look like he lost more weight. I am really liking the new judges. They really seem to have gelled together well and I thought in all they were delightful. Glad to have real singers/artists as judges so that the judges know what to Judge! As they said last night it is after all a singing competition. I think we will see some great talent this season.

My vote is for that little David Archuletta guy...so he forgot a few words.I didnt even notice until someone pointed it out. Despite some poor song choices he still has such a great voice and potential. Im not liking any of the girls.Shakezie( or however you spell it) was a hit with me last night, but over all little David will still get my vote..Im too old for American Idol anyway,,my dd watches and I gotta see who wins.LOl! I do like that gal that was a nanny, but I dont see her as Idol material. She just seems sweet.

Thanks so much for the click and drag, bestlawn. I am always missing the elimination show, and I hate to wait like a day and a half to be able to see on the A.I. website who was voted off. Did y'all notice on the previous show this week, David Hernandez kept talking about his place of work being a pizzaria or something like that, in his interview? Maybe he worked there part time or off and on, briefly at the last or something. But I think he was trying to distance himself from his real place of employment - the gay strip club - since that had been found out and talked about all over the internet. As busy as they are with the grueling practice and rehearsals, they must have some kind of feedback available as to what is going on with the nation-wide audience. I love the auditions, but I started watching The Biggest Loser last week for the first time. Not sure what to do....

Not my favorite part either, but I will be watching because of my broken ankle I have nothing else to do but read or watch tv. I like AI when they are done with the auditions.

I'm not sure if I can take another season of AI. I can't stand all the bickering and insults. I will probably get sucked in. My kids and DH love it and we only have one TV. Well not really, my computer is also a TV I just don't like sitting alone in the bedroom watching by myself. I usually don't start watching it until they go to Hollywood.

Me! Me! Me! I think the auditions are hilarious, but I love the actual competition. Yeah, there's bickering and other stuff, but I figure that's just one of their ways to fill the hour, and I guess some people actually go for that.

I'm there! Been waiting for the new season, although I must say-next year during the tryouts-I will be even more excited as a 16 yr old stunning, talented gal from here-is trying out. She was told last year when she was 15 yrs old-too young,but "we're keeping an eye out for you for next year"! Well, she turned 16 this past month. She has made a CD already & guest sings with a popular group in our area, about once a month. Awesome voice!

I will definitely be watching. Like others, the auditions aren't my favorite part of the show but it does give me a chance to pick an early favorite and follow them along the way.
