Who will be watching American Idol tonight?

Tonight is the start of the auditions. This isn't my favorite part of the show (I like it when they get to the finalists), but I'll watch anyhow. It'll be interesting to see how a fourth judge works.. what will they do if 2 say "Yes" and 2 say "No"?? OR maybe 1 judge will get each day off, so only 3 are doing the judging at this point?

I'm not crazy about the auditions either, Lydia, but will be watching tonight and every night! LOL! I've heard that this year's preliminary shows will not focus so much on the zanies, and more on the good people. I'm thankful for that. I think Idol encouraged the weird ones by showing so much of them on tv.

We've not enjoyed the show on tv so much in ages, made me think once again how great it'd be to have more entertaining and little less competition, to bring best of Idols and have some extra fun for everyone. No matter, all are winners, except me and especially my daughter, will be listening to Katherine and my younger daughter to Chris (her forever Idol). I think Taylor got the votes for being a friendly country guy -if the show was about congeniality he'd get my votes, he had fun and made us join in the fun, appearing more self-confident- a few years older helps, even if he was at times comical with his dances-we can all use more fun. It reminded us of the times when the "She Bangs" guy was picked as the winner on line, lol. We're fine with the fact Katherine took the 2nd place- it's almost or as grand as the top. My vote is for that little David Archuletta guy...so he forgot a few words.I didnt even notice until someone pointed it out. Despite some poor song choices he still has such a great voice and potential. Im not liking any of the girls.Shakezie( or however you spell it) was a hit with me last night, but over all little David will still get my vote..Im too old for American Idol anyway,,my dd watches and I gotta see who wins.LOl! I do like that gal that was a nanny, but I dont see her as Idol material. She just seems sweet.

I know I'm late in commenting on this but I'm so very disappointed. I thought that David A., David C. and Michael would be the top three. I just really can't see any of the girls going to the top. I liked Michael and David Cook equally, so now I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for David Cook. I really think it's way overdue for both Carly and Sayesha to leave the show. Brooke is nice but I find her very dull and not an entertainer at all. So, here I am, heartbroken over Michael being out of the competition. When Ryan made the comment that this time last season they chose to not send anyone home, I thought for sure they were going to do this with Michael. Why did Ryan even bring that up???

I love the auditions, but I started watching The Biggest Loser last week for the first time. Not sure what to do....

Not my favorite part either, but I will be watching because of my broken ankle I have nothing else to do but read or watch tv. I like AI when they are done with the auditions.

I'm not sure if I can take another season of AI. I can't stand all the bickering and insults. I will probably get sucked in. My kids and DH love it and we only have one TV. Well not really, my computer is also a TV I just don't like sitting alone in the bedroom watching by myself. I usually don't start watching it until they go to Hollywood.

Me! Me! Me! I think the auditions are hilarious, but I love the actual competition. Yeah, there's bickering and other stuff, but I figure that's just one of their ways to fill the hour, and I guess some people actually go for that.

I'm there! Been waiting for the new season, although I must say-next year during the tryouts-I will be even more excited as a 16 yr old stunning, talented gal from here-is trying out. She was told last year when she was 15 yrs old-too young,but "we're keeping an eye out for you for next year"! Well, she turned 16 this past month. She has made a CD already & guest sings with a popular group in our area, about once a month. Awesome voice!

I will definitely be watching. Like others, the auditions aren't my favorite part of the show but it does give me a chance to pick an early favorite and follow them along the way.
