Yep, I was blown away at one of the persons in the bottom three.
I can understand it but really didn't expect it.

The right one got the boot as far as my DH and I were concerned.....you should have heard the cheer.

I was happy with the bottom three. It was eeny, meenie, miney, mo. I probably would have sent home the second to the last.

I agree she needed to go. I could have taken her better if she just smiled a little. She was the most sour faced girl, I can't believe she is a nurse! Glad she is gone.

I was surprised to see Carly in the bottom three but I really don't know who I would have replaced her with. Funny no guys in the bottom three - that tells you something huh.

I am happy we won't have to listen to her sing anymore - I'm sure she can find a place for her talent, but it didn't appear to me that she had a very wide scope of songs she could do well at - said by a person that can't carry a tune and makes the wallpaper curl when she sings in the shower...lol.

I am soooo glad she's gone. I didn't care for her from Day 1. I think she thought she was going to go a lot further. Glad she was wrong. I think Christie should be next. Thought she was going last night. I do like Carly & hope she stays around for a long time.

Did anyone notice how uncomfortable Amanda looked singing with the group at the beginning?

I have to agree with Simon. She only knew how to sing the hard rock and it was getting boring. She wouldn't have lasted long with having to do slow songs.
I'm glad that Kristy was not let go.

For her sake It would have been better if she had gone sooner, because I think she was building up a false sense of hope after staying on this long.

Although I didn't care that much for Carly, I was surprised she was in the bottom 3. Anybody else think she looks older than 24?

I wonder also if it really hurt Amanda's chances when Simon told her she should try something different and she refused saying she wants to be known for her type of music only. I agree, when we watched her at the beginning she was out of place and at times we thought she was only mouthing the words. She is good at shouting the songs but I doubt she is really a good singer.

Well...isn't Dolly Parton going to be on soon to mentor them? I would have loved to have had her around to hear her sing one of her songs! LOL....I am glad she's gone though, after the first time I heard her was ok but it got old real fast.

Something I've been thinking is they should have the judges mentor the singers. See if they like their own creations and what they'll have to criticize then. Would be funny, I think. Should be the perfect songs selected, the perfect renditions, the perfect performances. LOL

I liked Amanda, but I knew it would be this week or next as she doesn't fit the mold for Idol, nor did she really try. I also don't think she had any intention of winning this thing, it was exposure she was after and she got it.

The reason she rarely smiled was because it didn't fit her image. Did you see her when she finally did, egged on by Simon? She looked like the girl next door! Put her in scrubs, with her hair pulled back, add the smile (she was TRYING not to on Idol), she's probably a great nurse. Wonder if she dyed her hair just for Idol? Hmmmm.

I think she took this opportunity for everything it was worth and on her terms... well played IMHO. Somebody was definitely waiting in the wings to sign her up and she's probably glad she's no longer married to Idol.
