Is it on a different time on Wednesdays than it is on Tuesdays?

I told Denny it was on...he got all smarty and turned it to the station we watch it on and sure enough it was not on. So does it come on at a different time?

I miss it every week. He also says it is not listed in the paper. I wonder if we don't get the Wednesday airing.

Patti, it is on one hour later on Wednesdays. It comes on at 8:00 here in MO.

I was a little surprised at the one voted off. I didn't expect that person to make it very far...but further than this.

Patti it is on at 9:00 EST on Wednesday.

As for the result - WRONG!!! He was the best of the bottom 3.

Yeah, Patti, it comes on at 9 on Wednesdays but 8 on Tuesdays. I'm imagining they changed the Wednesday time so that stupid show, Lie Or Get Killed or whatever it is LOL, could get better viewership. No doubt it does air in your area, and not surprising the listings are wrong. I noticed incongruent time listings a few weeks in a row.

I was disappointed that this one was voted off tonight. I thought the one sent home should have stayed and the sother one go home. I was shocked at one of the ones in the bottom three. Although their performance last night was rather boring, I was sure their looks would have got them plenty of votes.

Once again, I thought the second to last was the better choice to go home. The person who went home wasn't ever a favorite of mine, but has plenty of talent.

I like all three of the bottom three very much, so was sad to see them all there.

One thing I wonder about is the idols' stage performance vs. (or as opposed to) their recording sales futures. The one voted off tonight, I thought was a really good stage performer. I liked the voice too, but it was the person's candid actions/movements/manner as well as stage presence that I liked the most.

Up front, I will have to admit that I am not much into buying music or even listening to it very often. So a lot of my preferences have to do with the persons entertainment value in addition to their voice.

I admit that Carly has the best voice out of the whole group. But I would never buy her music and would not even care to see her on stage. To me, she is boring.

And I think the judges look at it as to who is adaptable to the best career in the music business. Like who would sell the most 'records'. But really, even that doesn't always hold true. Look at some of the non-winners in previous years who have gone on to successful singing careers and some winners who have barely made it to first base.

Taylor Hicks was my favorite the year he was on, and his career bombed, I guess. But he was great on stage, I thought...and I liked his style of music.

The ones, this year, that I would pay (theoretically) to see/hear them sing in person, would be Jason, Syesha, Chikesi, David Cook, and possibly David Archeletta (yeah, I hate the lip licking thing too!!!) and Ramielle. The others... eh.

Very insightful, Wanda. Might not cost much but sure was worth a lot. I'm just like you and don't listen to or buy music much anymore. Just trying to enjoy this show or not enjoy it, as it were. Looking at it from your perspective, I place Chikezie in a very limited genre. I don't think that applies to the listening/voting audience, but I can see it being the producer's concern. They'd naturally want maximum sales potential, whereas he is very much the 70s/80s R&B sound. That also happens to be where Reuben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, and Taylor Hicks are, so perhaps they feel it's enough. But then, that whole outlook is suggesting the producers actually control the outcome, and we're duped into thinking viewer votes have anything to do with it. I can accept that as being so, too.

Haven't seen this for a few weeks now, is the kid with the dredlocks still there? (he is a "local kid" about 30 miles away). Last time I got to see it was the 1st time guys and girls were on together.

I am glad it wasn't the girl. The other male would have been my first choice. He is soon to go too, I think.

The right person went home. I am glad to see that America is getting it right. In the past they didn't always. The only thing I disagree with is that Ramiele should have been in the bottom three.

I agree with Lyndy, Ramiele should have been down there, I think she got a sympathy vote for being sick. I really would have rather seen her go home. But as Paula said during he show, at this point they are all pretty good and I really hate seeing any of them go.

I don't think Chikezie should have gone, he didn't perform great this week but he is very entertaining - I would have sent Jason home myself as I find him very boring.
And I agree about Ramiele, she doesn't have star potential in my eyes...
but whatdoiknow..lol

I also think Ramiele should have gone. But, also the other three should have been "up" to go. They are the 4 bottem for me.

David Cook is still rockin. I still think Jason belongs in a Dinner Theater.

Sorry, but I don't care for Jason at all so I was hoping he'd be the one. Chikezie was okay & I wanted him to stay longer but that's just my HO.

All these different reactions to the various singers proves the statement that "there is no reality, only perception." :-)

I love Jason . . . and am I the only one who thought Syesha gave an excellent performance?

Not hardly the only one, Susan. Syesha is a great singer. She's another one I don't understand why people dislike her. Really bugging me to know what is going here, but I know I never will. No one will admit it, anyway. Chikeze is better than at least three other contestants - Jason, Kristy, and Ramiele. Jason is a cutie pie with a nice voice, but he's not a great singer and he's NOT a good performer at all. Kristy should have gone ages ago but taking only her performance Tuesday night, my 8 year old could have done at least as good a job with a song so beloved in the country. She, or whoever chose that song for her, was a marketing genius for that moment and kept her in the contest another week. Ramiele has either lost enthusiasm or is totally lost. The only thing I can figure must be happening is the producers are controlling the outcome or voters are not being honest with these people - true to themselves but not the contestants. So not fair at all!

Meant to say Chikezie and Syesha both are better than at least three other contestants.

And, I have to wonder since when does a contestant get to mess up like Brooke did and still stay in the running.

I too like Syesha and don't know why she constantly places in the bottom three. I'm surprized that Kristy has made it so far - singing Proud to be an American was genius. David A. needs to choose better songs or he'll be gone pretty soon. Brooke seems like a sweet, sincere person but there's nothing "different" about her singing. I think it's interesting to see how the contestants' appearances improve each week - thanks to the hair & makeup stylists!
