I bought my Ruvati SS sink at Mainfaucets.com. It was delivered quickly, in good condition, and it was the lowest price I found for that particular sink. I almost bought it from Amazon, although it was more money; however, I then noticed that Mainfaucets.com was one of Amazon's suppliers for some of the other Ruvati sinks that they carry, so i figured it must be legit.

Sail-away, have you used the sink yet? Is it quiet? I couldn't find reviews on ruvati sinks.

I bought my silgranit sinks from the local plumbing supply store because some have had problems with cracking during shipping.

I purchased some items from faucetdirect.com and they were good.

If you are looking for info on a specific vendor, google something like efaucet.com reviews and see what comes up. If it's been covered here it will usually come up.

We bought our Blanco Diamond sink from Amazon. Free two day shipping, great customer service and a very easy returns system. Great experience.

I bought my Julien sink from International Bath and Tile (they do business online as plumbtile.com as well). You will surely get a very knowledeable sales rep to help you by phone. Their prices are very competitive and their service is great. I also used them to purchase my Waterstone faucets and cabinet hardware. I used them for my kitchen after I had a great experience with them when I did my bathrooms back in the spring of 2011.

People also like faucetdirect.com. I almost used them for my bathroom fixtures. They seemed quite knowledgeable. I think someone didn't return one of my calls so I went to plumbtile.(Too bad for them--that was a really, really big order!)

dermnp, I ordered a sink from Quality Bath and was very pleased with their customer service. The sink arrived in a timely manner and packed quite well. They also had the best price. You may want to check out their site and see if they carry the sink you like. They also have a showroom in N.Y.

mpagmom, Sorry, the sink isn't installed yet. We just ordered the granite and are waiting for a call to schedule templating. All I can say so far is that it's lovely and very heavy. It looks really good and it seems to be well insulated, as well. I ordered the Gravena, a 30" tight radius single basin sink (RVH7300), but I haven't had real-life experience using it yet. You can read more about it at Ruvati.com, and they have several videos, but that probably won't answer your question about noise level. There are a few people here who have recommended the Ruvati sinks, so maybe if you posted a question they could answer you based on their experience.

realism,I realize that buying from people who sell on Amazon doesn't mean you're buying from Amazon. I ordered directly from mainfaucets.com, not Amazon, but I felt they were likely legitimate since they sold stuff at Amazon (at a higher price than on their website). Also, I did a Google map search and found they had a storefront, as well, which was reassuring to me.

sail-away- I am not saying you bought from a bad retailer. I just wanted you to be aware that just because someone has a storefront on amazon does not necessarily make them legit. Thankfully you didnt run into an unscrupulous retailer.

I bought all of my plumbing supplies (two silgranits, two Hansgrohe faucets, one GD, two Elkay soap dispensers, and fixtures for a whole new masterbath) from a local plumbing supply store. Long story short...the sales woman there was mad at my former GC and his plumber so she gave me the plumber's pricing when I became my own GC. Besides a good deal, I liked having a storefront to return any of had issues with any of my items.

realism, I appreciate what you're saying. I rarely buy anything online from a totallly unknown source (unless recommended by someone I trust). In this instance, I was willing to take a chance to aveas few dollars, based on the research that I did which indicated they were legit. Nevertheless, recommendations to be cautious are always appreciated.

Aj Madison, bundled with other appliances. The sink ended up being free. Try to combine your purchases and ask for a discount. There are items with MAP pricing which they can't discount but they can adjust by reducing the prices of other items on your order.

We used an online source I read about here, MRDirect. We just needed a basic double-bowl undermount SS sink with a decent gauge. We have had this nearly 3 years, and it looks great. A little bit of Barkeeper's Friend (BKF) is all it needs.

They also make silgranite and zero-radius sink. Also, US made, so that might be important to you.

I got our Kraus sink on eBay :) Scratch and dent from a local seller so I was able to pick it up myself. Just a small bend on the mounting flange (undermount) which was easily straightened out. Paid 1/2 price for it.

Got our Vent-a-hood the same way. 18" x 30" 600cfm with heat lamps for $500 on eBay. That one I had to have shipped to Buffalo and I drove the 3 hour return trip from Toronto to pick it up.

Bought our Kohler Torx faucet online (can't remember where) while we were on vacation in Florida. Had it shipped to our condo there and brought it home in our luggage. Guy at customs thought I was nuts declaring a faucet.

I, too, bought a scratch & dent Kraus apron front SS sink off eBay. Very minor flaw in the bowl of the sink & the other insignificant boo-boos are on the side aprons where they will never be seen because they will be buried in between cabinets.

Hmm; I didn't see the Blanco message about authorized online retailers before I ordered. I bought our Silgranit super single (and a new faucet) from FaucetDirect.com, which is not an authorized Blanco retailer. Not sure I would have if I'd known -- the sink and faucet were the entirety of my 'reno'. But there were no problems.

A good piece of advice from this forum: No matter who you buy from, or where, as soon as you're in possession of the sink inspect it thoroughly for cracks or damage (and document with photos if you find any). This is particularly important for those who, like me, buy the sink and faucet months before they're installed.

Good points, Ellabee. I would add that, if the box has any damage at all, take a picture of the box before opening. Our sink came in a box that had a bit of damage on one corner. DH took a photo, although we doubted there was going to be a problem with the sink. It was very well packed, so sink had no damage.

While we were at it, we took several pictures to document its pristine condition before we hand it off to the fabricator---just in case it comes back with any damage. I think it's unlikely, but we wanted some proof so it didn't turn into a "they said/we said" situation.

We bought a Blanco Silgranit on Amazon and had no issues. Free two day shipping and arrived in perfect condition.

I purchased my whitehaven sink from efaucet. No issues except delivery company being late.
