Prayers for my dad please

I am in NC dad is in the hospital at home. Went in Sun for fluid ard heart and in legs. Went home yesterday. Back in right away with pain in Rt shoulder. Lung dr sees him today to make sure no infection (coughing) and probable heart cath tomorrow. Enzymes are up. Suspect another heart attack. I am posting from my phone. Limited data time. May be a few days before I can get back here Thank you so much. Just knowing the extra thoughts prayers are coming will help us all

you got it! I know how worrisome that can be and being at a distance is terrible. Been dealing with my mothers health issues so I feel your pain.

Tanya, show up around lunch time or dinner so you can see & smell the food. If food is lousy clints don't enjoy life much. Place my mom was in, that I felt good about as it had good staff & good food is now serving sandwiches for lunch & even dinner. Yesterday it was grilled cheese for lunch & tuna salad sand. for dinner. Really well rounded meal. The juice, banana or milk they want to keep for later, they take away from them so now the residents are "hiding" food. Sad. GF called to tell me her dad is in there since Feb. 14 & can walk 200 ft. with walker. Broke hip. That's slow progress, now he has pneumonia. So that is going down hill along with rest of state. Someone thought Ca. was so advanced- Ha!!! We are behind on almost everything. Less cops,poor care of kids if in system, even lose some, used to turn them out when they turned 18 without even a suitcase. Now all kids no matter their age get at least that. Had nursing homes in private homes that were nice at 1 time but lot of them closed down as patients were abused &/or neglected so I thought things were getting better. Cuts are to the poor, disabled, children, gov't workers all still get cars, ins, credit card for gasoline,slush fund in their office & many other perks, don't know how they sleep at night. Anyway Tanya, look past the pretty stuff & try to get handle on what is going on, ask several residents how they like it. Hope you can find 1 nearby so it doesn't become a "day trip" just to go see him! Good Luck! Jan

There Is a GOD!!!..And I KNOW he is ALWAYS so close..I am sooo Happy and Thankful for you Bo and your Mom and Dad!!! My brother was a "cutter" for trees..and one day he was cutting and another cutter was cutting and the other cutter's tree fell on my brother... It hit him on the head......and cracked his hardhat...and he passed out...NOONE KNEW.... They found him with blood in his cracked hardhat...and called the ambulance... The Hospital released him saying a concussion...He had a crack in his skull!!!....BAD RELEASE!!! 3 days later his legs drew up behind him..he could'nt move his legs..he called my mom.....they "carried" him and put him into their car...they took him to a different hospital .. and they showed 2 fractures to his spinal cord... for 6 weeks my brother had a halo...(skrews drilled into his head and a huge metal halo surrounding it)...he had broke his neck...... He had to lay flat for 6 weeks....OHH HE HATED IT..LOL..but .. then they had to gradually lift him on a board....at different angles..so that he could learn to hold down food again...AND all his internal organs would shift to the proper places again....He got soo skinny... Anyway....... What I really wanted to IMPRESS..IS..THERE IS A GREAT GOD!!! Im Soooo thankful Your Dad is OK!!!!! And ..you CAN have a SPINAL Injury and survive with full abilities...WITH PRAYER!! A couple of years back our dog was stiff and sore to the point where he couldn't even shake his head. His neck was obviously sore, and we assumed that he had strained or sprained something. Our vet noted that his teeth were plaque-covered, and his gums were slightly inflamed, and said that bacteria from the teeth could get into the bloodstream and cause inflammation and pain elsewhere after a round of antibiotics and pain relievers he was feeling better, and we took him to a friend who was a animal dental specialist who did a thorough cleaning, but he said that some of his teeth were bad enough that they needed to be pulled. After that our dog seemed better and back to his usual happy self for a couple more years. I have no idea whether this could be that case for your little guy, but your description sounds similar. There's not just the broken relationship with Dad ... but the complication of having resented brother, as favourite, while growing up ... but with a residue continuing over the years, which was involved with the request/demand that you forgive. Life does get complicated, doesn't it? I rather like the idea of the two chairs, inhabiting each in turn. Sometimes when I have an issue with God, I imagine myself stepping out of my skin, going a short distance away, looking back and asking what response I imagine that God would make. Though we're supposed to respect God unquestioningly, I've suggested to a number of folks that it's O.K. to have issues with God: He/((She) ain't eggs ... She/He won't break when given some rough handling. I hope that you can find/work your way through to a satisfactory resolution to this issue. I hope that you have a trusted friend who is hugely respectful, caring and willing to listen (and who knows how to keep her/his mouth shut not only during ...[ but after, with regard to others, as well]). Sometimes a leader or regular person of faith can be helpful in dealing with such an issue. Good wishes as you proceed on this portion of your life's journey. ole joyful

So sorry to hear this, Tami. We were living in Pittsburgh and DFIL was in N.C. and driving back and forth for health issues was tough. It's so difficult when we live so far from our parents. Good thoughts and prayers coming your way. Hugs, too.
