Welcome! He is adorable! I have always wanted a Boston Terrier too...I hope someday I have one.

Was that picture taken at petsmart just out of curiousity? I saw their commercials today and yesterday about having your pets sit on santas lap. I figured the laugh alone would be worth $8.95.

Cronos doesn't like peas and carrots? That's a little unusual.

That's good news. When I rescued Mia we did all the tests and she tested negative for heart worms. So she was started on the preventative. We brought her a few weeks later for blood work before spaying. She tested lightly positive so we had to delay spay and go through the dreaded heart worm treatment. Vet said she likely was just infected the first test but not enough to register. Boy it is very difficult to keep a little puppy quiet and still! Everything went well and she was able to get spayed.

Congratulations on your beautiful puppy. I'm sure the other pups will be used to Jazz before you know it. We've always had poodles. My sisters' poodles are all standards. My youngest sister's daughter has a Parti. They have lovely personalities. Both of my dogs are poodle mixes. The poodle characteristics still shine through.

Your comment about her not playing reminded me of when I got Murray (my picture) from the dog shelter. He never played with toys. I got him a very hard bone to chew on and he ignored that too. Then one day a friend was over with his dog and his dog picked up that bone and started chewing on it. It was like a lightbulb went on in Murray's head. After they left, he picked up that bone and started chewing on it. I'm guessing Tuffy may end up doing something like that. Seeing the other dogs play with things may teach her how to do it too. If you've never had something like that, you wouldn't automatically know what to do. Dogs are smart!!

@socalnolympia I'll keep it in mind! Right now I don't have any in-ground space for my citrus anyway... I've got around 20 fruit trees (different kinds, different ages, different sizes) planted very close in my "orchard" part of the backyard. Side yard is basically covered in raised beds for a vegetable garden and citrus trees are tucked here and there all around that. There are also my 3 peach trees in containers (easier to protect them from Peach Leaf Curl), between the south-facing wall of the house and one of the garden beds. The only remaining piece of the ground that gets full sun is in my front yard, but I'm not ready to plant any fruit-bearing plants there just yet. A fancy greenhouse might be good there, but it's near an easement, so I don't think it's a good idea to put it there.

Thanks for your kind words. Actually, no, that photo was taken at a local pet store a few years ago. And that's right, he doesn't like peas or carrots... or corn either! He'll take the stuff in his mouth, spit it out, and roll around no it... haha. It's rather amusing, but we don't torture him by doing it often :)

How cute! Welcome to the site. I rescued a boston one time and named him Mr.Beans he didn't like children and he eventually went to live with a young man that was mildly retarded. The dog did wonders for him and he took such wonderful care of him.
A friend of mine in the neighborhood would check in on him and keep me updated, it ended up being a good scenario.
We thought about the pet pictures at the petstore, but we have a rottie and two shih tzus- santa might have a come apart. I'll post pics tomorrow after we make them at home.

What a cutie & Welcome to the group. Neither of my dogs like veggies either. I almost bought a Boston Terrier last year but ended up with a puggle instead. From what I have read they sounded like great dogs. Thanks for sharing, we love to see pics.
