Today I am 47.....and Look and Feel 67.....

Today I turn 47.I look really 67 and feel it.I am not joking.Bones always hurt,and so many wrinkles.I need alot of work on this body.Greg got me a 100.00 gift card to my favorite store,Ross and Ashley got me new cushions for my new out door patio furniture.I found this very nice matching table and chairs at the local thrift store.It was in excellent condition.Got it for 129.00.The chairs are tall,and they turn.They really look nice.So ashley got me some nice thick cushions for them.Everyone told me I got a good deal because they reg cost 350.00 in the stores.I am going to search and see if I can found them online.All I need is a new unbrella.I am using a older unbrella till I find one that matches.Ashley took me out to eat yesterday and fishing.Greg and I going out to eat tomorrow nite.

Vicki I am so sorry for your loss of your fish. I posted a month or so ago about all of my beautiful Koi I had for 13 years that I lost to something in the dead of winter. I was so very sad, so I know how terrible you feel. I wanted to fill my pond in, but everyone was so kind and told me get some new fish. I did..they will never replace the fish I had, but I do enjoy watching the new ones. So morn your fish and when you are ready..really go and get a couple of new ones, they will bring back joy to you. So very very sorry you are going through this.

I have more sympathy for your situation than I can express. My greatest fear is loosing shade. I fought with Com Ed for 6 years about a mulberry jungle I have inherited on my rear easement line. It has a single ComEd line for street lighting running through them and I didn't want to cut them down and break their power line. They show no interest. Their attitude is when it breaks they will fix it. If I break it I will be billed for the repair. I've had my fill fighting with thousands of mulberry seedlings, poison ivy, wild grape, and tons of mosquitoes, So finally I plant to remove all the underbrush and build a new bed there. Knowing how that goes, my greatest fear is that after all the work a storm will cause the line to break. Then ComEd will come in and cut down all the trees on the easement including the black walnut with an already established hosta garden under it. In doing it they will be merciless and totally destroy everything I have done and the habitat to redevelop my hosta gardens. Les

OH Nancy. That looks like a device of torture. I can see how it would be easier to do if not working. I hope it helps. I totally understand the job stress. Dealing with the same myself The stress for me brought on the worst flair of psoriasis I have ever had. Still suffering from it. Better though now. Been over a year and a half I can barely walk. Like you low pay no befits and yet a couple councilmembers want to own me. Well it is not going to happen. I work approx 6 % or less of the year for my job and the other 94% is my own. They are NOT taking that away from me. Already talked to my boss about it and he said keep facts and figures close at hand as this will be challenged at the next meeting when I finally get the FIRST raise I have had in 4 years. I do not plan to resign because if they fire me I will get unemployment. They have no excuse to fire me. I have done nothing wrong. One councilperson even wants to control my PERSONAL home answering machine. Says the message is not acceptable for a person of my position. Well HELLO this is MY phone. In fact my message is this. You have reached the home of Me and hubby. Since I am the one that pays this phone bill I choose who I allow to annoy me. Leave a message and you will be lucky if I call you back. Now is that so bad?? Yes it is but I have had city phone calls at home starting at 6:50AM up to as lats as 10:30 at night. What makes a person think I want to talk to them about their water bill in my living room. I do have an office. Since I have had this message my phone calls have been reduced to about 90%. PHEW and my health is improving. I no longer answer the phone at home unless I hear who it is and want to talk to them. I refuse to pay for caller ID and then have to grab phone book and try to figure who it is calling. Since I took charge of my own feelings and voiced my opinion to several people my health is improving. Nancy do what you want to do. I hope you heal. I know that Lymphedema is nasty stuff. Stress is nasty stuff. We need to avoid it as best as possible. One little thing I have been doing is taking Holy Basil. It is a great calming herb. No prescription needed. Just be sure to check with your doctor about it first. Sorry I did not come over this side sooner. I forget about this side. How did the interview go??

I can be a hot head......ok ladies, you may pick yourselves up off of the floor and stop laughing now!!!! I would have been upset too. Like you said, it is hard enough to get off of work as it is. Plus this time of year is soooooo stressful even if you just stick to the Christmas stuff let alone the rest of the crap that the world throws at you. Did any of the other parents tape the program???..... May I share my little meltdown with you??? In August I had a root canal. Now mind you I have lived with A LOT of pain in my life but this was hideous! I did not get pain meds until the day after and it was hydrocodone....which makes me sick. This was all the dentist would give me so I took them as long as my body would allow and when I started vomiting I quit taking them. For months I have suffered. Monday I went in with all of us thinking that I would have to have it redone only to find that the tooth next to it had a large crack in it and so I had a crown done. No payment plan so I end up paying $360.00 that I hadn't planned on. That ticks my off. By the time I get home and my mouth is no longer numb, I am in extreem pain. I think the nerves in my mouth are probably in shock after all of this time and they are on fire. My DH calls the dentist, dentist calls in the meds, DH picks them up and guess what????? The same damn meds that make me vomit. I decided since it is evening now that I will take one and call my doctor in the morning and get a refill of my darvocet that I have for when my sciatic nerve is at it's worst. I have been very careful not to abuse my meds. I think I've taken 6 or so in the last year. Long story short. Pharmacy calls dr.'s office to alert them that I just got a prescription for hydrocone and now I want darvocet. Dr.'s office won't give me darvocet now and dentist won't give me anything else. All of discussion taking place in front of customers at drug store. When I get home I call the dentist and the dr. and chew out the assistants. Who are speaking for their bosses. Still no meds. To bad the dentist had just sent me an survey to fill out on line. I wouldn't take calls from either office the next day and cancelled my appointment for my diabetes check for today. I'm just still pissed. I am doing Advil round the clock to kept the pain bearable. I am looking for a new dentist and I'm going to take the pills into the dr's office and give the 11 out of 12 to him and tell him that I don't appreciate being treated like an addict. I even offered to take the pills into the pharmacy and give them back so that I could get some thing that helped me. What the h3ll!!!!!! STRESSSSSSSSSSS! and then it's Christmas and my DD is still being stalked, I'm in pain, DH is sick, SD10 is a pain in the butt because she is so excited about Chrstmas and there are so many things going on at school, DS is stressing about finals but working so hard since I have had to play bad cop with him and now he is my buddy along with my little black dog. Other than that the rest of world can just suck eggs. SD30 had to have her dog put down and now I feel bad about being upset with her...found a sympathy card to send to her for her little doggie. I'm with you mom1stm2.....If I still drank I'm sure I'd feel better.

It sounds like you have far more than 47+67 years of love surrounding you! I feel as if I "know you" from the years you've been on the KT...and I know you're a beautiful woman.

As for the aching bones, could it be the weather, or is it arthritis, or have you been working too hard? My aunt has had very good results treating her arthritis with aloe vera juice. I think she drinks 6-8 ounces, mixed in water, daily. I'm going to start using it myself.

There are no words to tell you all how special you are to me.You are the best friends anyone could have.I really mean this.Even though we have not met in person,I still love you all alot.You all made my day for all the words you said.Tonite Ashley brought in me a big b'day cake and a bundle of Tulips[not sure how to spell this flower ]but maybe you can make out what I am trying to say.They were yellow and Pink ones.So pretty.I am so so blessed to have such sweet family and friends.My sister called and sent me a card.My brother[I have only one] called and I nearly started crying.Its been nearly a year since I heard from him.I have not seen him in a long time.Since my mom died everyone went their separate ways.So sad too.But Curt and I had a very good talk.At the end both sis and brother said I love you.I am crying now as I type.Thanks everyone.Hugs Judy
