Both of those hats are ridiculous! IMO

Well... they wanted attention and to stand out. Looks like they got it! But it was in a bad taste side.

I hated it, but the women on E! raved about it.

Did you see the lady in the green dress in the church who didn't have any headdress? It showed her a couple of times, and I thought she looked bare without one.

I don't understand the Prime Ministers wife not wearing a hat.....She undoubtable recieved the 22 page document that "suggested" hats for the women. It is almost like her ignoring protocol for whatever reason. I mean she wasn't the only one in the church without a hat but there were not many and as the PM's wife..she should have had one on.

UGLY - pure and simple. The one in the blue looks like her dress is stuck in her underware.

I thought that one hat looked like a tv antenna...how ridiculous.. prime Minister David Camerons wife was the one in the greenish dress with no hat....shame on her. Some of the outfits were gorgeous..and others...welll... what were they thinking.

I think the one in the light pink would have looked beautiful with a different hat. Reminds me of that Christmas ribbon candy. the one in the blue looks like a tacky teenager in need of a stylist. Her shoes look awful with the color of the dress.

I agree, certainly not my cuppa tea! And neither of those gals seemed schooled on how to walk in those shoes. One of the news announcers this week had said that hats were required, due in part to religious respect, so I was surprised to see the prime minister's wife bare-headed.

All in all, I really enjoyed seeing everyone decked out in their fancies! What fun!

I see what you are seeing with Pippa's dress too and I have no idea, just below her knee there is that section that you can see flesh then below that is more dress that goes on down to the ground, It it either a sheer panel in the dress at that area for some unknown reason or it is falling apart??

That blue dress does look like part of it is tucked up under the skirt because a small part of it is hanging down on the other side. It sure does not look like it is hanging properly.

It is like a hat parade lets see who can out do the most!

Pippa (the bride's sister) was her Maid of Honor, so maybe no hat was required.

What are we looking at here? It looks almost as though Pippa's dress is coming apart, and showing her leg. But I'm sure that's not true. I must be missing something. Looking forward to my cataract surgery next month. :-)

Also, were all the bridesmaids little girls? They're so adorable. One was Margarita Armstrong-Jones. She must be a descendant of Princess Margaret and her photographer husband.

Gee ... I got so taken up with legs, there, that I forgot a substantial part of my intended story.

Yesterday at the bank they had one door locked, and when I commented on it, they said that the high wind had blown it so strongly that it had just about cut someone's head off ... so they'd locked that door.

Can't you just feature the lady with the rabbit-ears antenna for the TVs of yesteryear style of hat going out in a wind like that?

And as for the shoes on the lady in blue ... I lay little claim to style-consciousness, but had my daughter planned to go out with such shoes and dress together, even I might have commented on it.

Just so you know, the one in pink is Princess Beatrice and the one in blue is Princess Eugenie, daughters of Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

Well, now I'm GLAD Prince Andrew didn't marry ME after all. LOL I always fancied Andrew, just as I now prefer Harry. (Although, perhaps knowing you are The Heir is more inhibiting of your natural personality.)

Yes, I thought Bea's eye makeup was awful. She has naturally large, round eyes, and they were not enhanced by the raccoon look.

Ole Joyful, as it was already mentioned. The lady in white is Pippa Middleton, the bride's sister and the Matron of Honor. The flowers on her hair as well as the flowers of the young bridesmaids are Lily of the Valleys. It is also the same flowers that are featured in the Bride's bouquet.

alisande -- Oh, I don't think I could take Chelsy. She looks pretty...well, *tough*. She sure looked blowsy in those photos at the wedding -- hung over, someone suggested. Hard to believe she paid some designer to make that *awful* dress. (Is she a nursing mother? lol)

I am no Pollyanna by any means, but my instant first thought as I saw them coming out of the car...? There are two girls who needed a Mum. Really sad looking.
I would have been a bit put out if I were Kate. (whenever she gets down off cloud 9 that is...and sees what we could see - I know it will never change her joy at her wedding however).

I think that none of those would appeal to me but honestly they are not out of question for the British women. They are accoustomed to wearing those outrageous hats.

No it was reported on every channel that she was not included as a guest. I am sure no one including Fergie expected her to be invited.

The pink dress is lovely, the hat is silly.

I think hose is the better option when very dressed up.......bare legs just don't look good and lets face it, panty hose make even a skinny womans body look better.

It looks like Eugenie's blue dress originally was longer, below her knees. Perhaps for a quick fix, she rolled up the hem under and inward to shorten it. The job wasn't well done and resulted a messy look toward the skirt of the dress.

Oh, I hadn't seen Princess Anne's attire before. You have to wonder who advises the 'royal' women on clothing. How did Princess Diana break away, overcome that awful bedskirt of a wedding gown and learn to *dress*?

Princess Anne's outfit makes me think of WWII films where the British housewife answers the door in a housecoat. No, no, wait... she clearly does NOT have rollers in her hair, so I guess that wasn't the look she was going for.

Many of these women have legs that make you wish for long hemlines. Some are also wearing what only they believe to be their dress size. (No mirrors in the house, dear?)

I've never been near a formal event in Paris, but the most exceptionally beautiful group of women I have ever seen were those attending a ball at our hotel in Montreal. There was not an unatractive woman among the several dozen I saw. They were not all beautiful, and they were of all ages, shapes and sizes, but each was perfectly groomed and dressed, and each moved with grace. Memorable! (Of the few elegantly attired guests at this wedding, many seemed unable to put one foot in front of the other, gracefully.)

I agree with that, and I said that to my daughter. Very few of them seemed to walk with grace. Fond as I am about William and Harry, I thought the same of them as they went down (up?) the aisle.
